I really like Nadia too. I enjoy her content a lot
Same actually I think Nadia is really goodreally
She’s very down to earth, would say there’s much bullshit out of her.Same actually I think Nadia is really good

Is the husband posh ? I’ve encountered her in a retail environment and she is exactly as described above, nice but rude as the same time if that makes sense.yeah I mean it’s not her fault that her best mate is an editor, course she’d jump at a chance to have her work published thats understandable, I like her too. Her and Vicki are best mates from school. But yeah one of the comments up there hit the nail on the head about Vicki , very self assured in an unlikable way. I think she’d make your life hell if you worked for her. She’s really threatened by women , her husband seems similar. I think because he comes from a posh background, she tries to come Across that way too.

he comes from money if that makes sense. Kind of a rugby head vibe. Yeah she’d play nice but talk down to you. I always felt on the podcast Valerie was sad or something or not herself. To be a deputy editor you’re basically working hand in hand with the editor so you’d have to be quite close. Those two seemed very distant , I honestly would imagine Valerie was miserable there.
Judging by her linkedin Valerie was in the deputy editor role for nearly 3 years.. am i missing something here?Yes, very telling that Valerie stayed in the deputy editor role for less than a year. The company is supposed to be horrible to work for, particularly the owner. Rosmary McCabe hinted a lot about her time there but said she was afraid of him bringing liable against her and I know she's not the only one to say it's a horrible working environment.
I get you, I never listen to the podcast but used to regularly buy the magazine but the content is always the same so stopped, it’s probably not aimed at my age bracket but that usually wouldn’t stop me.he comes from money if that makes sense. her head is always up Aimee Connollys arse also

She was website editor for 2 years and then got promoted to deputy editor for the magazine early in 2020. She was with the company for about 3 years but I’d imagine you’d want to get a bit of experience as deputy editor before you’d move on to properly advance yourself. She seems to have left Media too her new job looks more business focused?
She’s a poshish travel blogger. She was also her bridesmaid.Who would that be?
Thats the same for most travel writers though!I really have to disagree with the Nadia comments, i get the same snooty vibe from her! I understand that Ireland is small but the fact she has the travel column via Vicki is something else altogether, severe jobs for mates vibes, which is such a problem in Ireland and it’s shameful they can be so brazen about it. I wouldn’t also take Nadias travel advice for anything but a guided tour, she doesn’t seem to pay her way around much, everything is a more or less structured press trip. I’d rather take the advice of someone who’s doing it all themselves/investing their own in money in what’s good and what’s not, not just following the PR Teams schedule
Not all! PR Trips are of course part of the job, but a genuine travel writer (IMO) is someone with a bit of their own gumption who has spun their hobby/interest into the writer side. There are plenty out there! Of course free trips come with that, but Nadia in all the time I’ve followed her has mostly just been doing the trips handed to her , or says “next I’d love to go here - writes a list” and the next month one of those places has been offered as a sponsored trip. I’m not begrudging her the free trips, I’d take them, but I’d be more invested in what she has to say if she was also mixing it in with self paid, self planned “real” travel.Thats the same for most travel writers though!
Was nadia in a different career then decided to write? I thought she worked in BTS or a hair salon. Not all!
