I remember Shield soap too! My Nan used to buy it, along with Camay.

I always the remember the advert for Camay ... it was all creamy

I've started using Pears soap again. I love the smell and we always had it when I was a kid but it was during lockdown I re discovered it. I bought bars of it because liquid hand soap was so hard to get and it's great. Not drying at all.

Wrights is the coal tar soap. That's been around for since 1860. Pears since 1807. There's a reason why they've lasted so long!!

i discovered Pears in lockdown too..when everyone was panic buying all the soaps, paracetamol etc if i needed it i would buy any soap brand available...found some pears liquid soap in a small branch of tesco..the smell was gorgeous!

MIL still hasn't got over the fact that I didn't change my name when I got married. My husband couldn't care less, so I don't know why she gets her knickers in a twist over it.
Also due to a very backward insurance company, the cat has my surname

My cats have my surname too. My husband thinks they have both of our surnames double-barrelled (we do not), but in fact they both only have my name . Bwahahaha.

This is funny because I know for a fact youngsters (13-17) think it's crap in general. So I guess you must be like 5
