She wants a sixties ‘look’ that doesn’t suit her (lovely) figure to be honest. The sixties look is Twiggy, gamine with no tits :)

I want to be clear that this isn’t what I was saying and I don’t think your body type should have any bearing on what clothes you should wear.

Irrespective of body type, Dolly just has no idea of how to put an outfit together - the lines and proportions and how to accessorise are all lost on her

DW I know that’s not what YOU’RE saying, I’m not going to tar you with my mean spirited brush :)

Yeah I’m finding it really hard to phrase, I’m not criticising Dolly’s figure or body type, I’m just saying it’s not right for the look she wants. I’d say the same about someone who is very muscular wanting the gamine look, or someone very skinny looking to look like Marilyn Monroe :)

and it’s tattle so I’m allowed to say people should dress for their body type IF they want to be fashionable ;)

I’m not having a go, I just didn’t want to leave my post open for interpretation because ‘dress for your body type’ is a personal pet peeve of mine. FWIW I think not knowing how to style an outfit is a significantly worse fashion crime than not knowing what looks good on you.

And while I’m being mean-spirited - I don’t understand how Dolly has 75000 female best friends and not a one of them has told her how bad her pouty selfie face is. If this were me, the group chat would have gently bullied me out of it a long time ago. It looks so bad and cringey!!

I don't think that dress would work with the shoes on anyone honestly! And I'm absolutely not commenting on her body type or height - no shade on those at all. She could look great - but she just gets it wrong so often, I imagine because she doesn't quite get how to make styling work for her.

Zadie Smith on the Annie McManus podcast today... She basically invented the name Zadie. Wonder if Pandora did the due dil.
Haha so funny that she was at pains to say ‘not after Zadie smith thank you very much’. And was snidey about her book of essays during the pandemic. Got off the fence for once to say they weren’t all for her and she’d stop reading. Why panda why? You carve out all that reading time by being better us.

Would have thought Alexandra Shulman would have washed her hands before modelling products for her list 😂 also she’s sloppy enough to pre-write this and still post it, it’s not autumnal where she lives it’s a bloody heatwave

It is so shockingly bad, for somebody who is obviously very capable and good. If your photography / image curation skills are this terrible, hire help for a few hours a week.
