Tbh I found the British crowd in general really disrespectful

There's really no need to be boo-ing Denmark whenever they had the ball

I'm not watching but if I hear shouting and singing outside in a couple of hours then I'll assume we've won.

Well I didn't hear anything but I've woken up to learn we won, so either I slept very well or celebrations were restrained near me.

I second the crowd being disrespectful. No problem with booing when the opposite team has the ball but booing during the national anthem? That's low. They also did during the German match.

The English crowd seemed to be booing their own team at one point Can't be doing with that.

I do think they will have their work cut out on Sunday. For the Italy/Spain game I was on the edge of my seat for most of the game. Last night I ended up reading my book and dipping in and out of it.

I've been to tons of live football and there has never been boo-ing of the opposition every time they got the ball? In fact, rarely ever full on booing regardless of whats happening.

Are you taking the piss? Wtf is a family fun day at a football match? Theres a middle between 'cheering' for the opposition (which I never suggested haha) and full on booing them during their national anthem.

The national anthem booing is something that English fans have done consistently for a long time though and that doesn't happen much elsewhere. And I most definitely have gone to football matches including the 2002 World Cup and the two Euros Ireland qualified for in 2012 and 2016. That portion of the English fans are to blame for the way other countries react to England. I know it's a minority as I actually live in England now, but the outside world still thinks of the beer swilling louts.

I am actually happy for this set of players as they have been brave taking a stand on racism and I really admire Southgate. He got a lot of abuse but stuck to his plan. A lesser character would have bowed to media and public pressure but he picked the best team to suit his tactics.

To clarify my original comment was in response to booing whenever Denmark had the ball. Not in the national anthem. Jesus Christ. Everybody wants something to argue about don’t they not like the majority of us all support the same team or anything.

I’m not arguing? Just making a comment. The booing during national anthems has bugged me throughout the competition.
