How confident are we about beating Italy? I was in and out of some of the matches apart from England and Spain so hence I did miss Italy, are they good?

I wouldn't say no to being in that position for quite a lot of the England squad. 😆😆

For all that football is a very heterosexual sport, there is an awful lot of homoeroticism involved.
 
Italy are very strong, and really exciting to watch (usually).
They throw themselves on the floor a lot in the latter stages of a tough game. (I know there's a joke there about Sterling last night too but we were the better side against Denmark.)
It should be a good game, England will have to keep up with them though - they play really fast football.
 
I can see Italy winning it. Id love us to do it but we aren't good enough. We played great against a not great team on Saturday. Played ok last night. Harry Kane needs to remember that he's a striker and stay in his half. Our defense is good though. To only conceed one goal all tournament is amazing. Italy are a lot quicker than us. Looking forward to Sunday.
 
I think Sunday will be our toughest game (apologies for starting the obvious) I’d love England to go all the way but I’m doubtful.

I’ve really enjoyed the tournament though minus last night when I thought I was mere seconds from a heart attack several times, I may have to invest in some kalms tablets and douse myself in lavender on Sunday.

Sunday is going to be very tough and I do think Italy will win. If England do win, that would just be incredible. Either way I’ll be proud and I will be sad that it’s over. Ah well, we have the Olympics to watch next 😁
 
I've really enjoyed the competition and am really pleased we somehow made the final. Italy are tough competition but they have had harder teams to play than England and have had more travel (I think England have played all but the one game in Wembley) so they might be more tired.

I would love us to win but not sure we will unfortunately.

As someone from Liverpool I totally agree with you. I can’t bare all this Scouse not English BS. Yeah, it might be shite being English to paraphrase Trainspotting but we’re stuck with it. Some scousers are just so patriarchal they refuse to accept the country they’re from. Does my head in.

Italy also went to extra time/pens against Spain so have played more minutes than England

It’s just one idiot though.

All sports have idiots at games. Rugby fans pissing on and in my garden during the Six Nations was an unfortunate side effect of living near the Aviva Stadium 😂
