I'm always, always club before country. When Leeds lose it ruins my entire day/weekend. When England lose it's "meh, that sucked" and I am over it pretty fast. But we've had so little joy this past year that seeing how thrilled and engaged my kids are over the Euros has really ignited some genuine excitement and desire to see England do well. And of course, our Kalvin (he's magic, you know.....) has stepped up and been first class so there is a personal kind of connection!

We'll be there on Wednesday (and if Sunday means anything then too, ssssssh) thanks to my husband's job and while the excitement levels aren't quite at this time last year when Leeds were being crowned champions it is still pretty exciting!

(And I don't find it boring to hear about club connections either, I'm a right nosy parker and like to know with which club sides your loyalties lie - just so I can put any scummers on ignore - kidding, maybe ;) )

I’m a United fan (Manchester) and never followed international football really - I know I should! But these Euros I’ve found myself singing it’s coming home at any given chance and enjoy watching them, I agree the team have a natural bond! Come on England!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I’d be alright if England won but I just think it would be so special for Denmark to take it. I’m really rooting for them 🇩🇰

I think this England squad seem to have such good vibes - I think it helps with social media too seeing them on tik tok and insta and the lions den thing they’ve been doing with Josh it’s made them just seem all so likeable I feel. Am off to the pub Wednesday to watch and keeping everything crossed I’ll be going back Sunday for the final!!

One difference I find with this crop of lads compared to those of the Beckham/lampard etc era is that the attitude of “I’m <insert English footballers name> so I should automatically get a place even if I’m playing a bit tit atm just because I play for
Chelsea etc”

This lot seem to understand they’re not going to get picked every time. They understand that they have to earn their place based on skills and ability to work with others.

Thanks to Gareth's management style. No room for huge egos 🙂

Lampard, Gerrard, Beckham etc wouldn't have liked that though and would have used the media to make their case. Beckham really needed to go. Trying to squeeze all of them into the team made England in 2004 and 2006 a weaker team. They needed a solid base that Hargreaves/Carrick and Scholes would have given.

As long as it is legitimate and not a spawny goal scored through a free kick won by some diving and rolling around.

Why are they playing with a silver ball? It is awful to track.

Will it be gold for the final?!

Well… which way is it gonna go? I’m kind of hoping for penalties as I like a nail biter and I’m not bothered which team goes through because…

ITS COMIN’ ‘OME! 😂

The actual game was dull, lots of hoofball and cheating.

The Italians look dead on their feet though. If tomorrow's game goes to extra time that pitch is going to be a mess.

We'll be at Wembley tomorrow. Can't wait!
