I bleeping love him


Was channel hopping between the football and the tennis last night for a while. Then had to go and get my laptop because they both went a bit mental and I couldn’t keep up with the hopping 😂😂
 
I hate Roy Keane. I will never, ever forgive him for Haaland, he shouldn't even be on TV. Disgusting man.

My son has just watched the France/Switzerland highlights, I think he is expecting for more of the same excitement this afternoon. Is anyone else off to Wembley? We have tickets for this game, not for the quarters but again for the semi and final.

I know rankings mean nothing and as yesterday proved, anything can happen. England are now the 2nd highest rank team left in the tournament and the 1st/3rd/4th ranked teams are in the other side of the draw. A huge opportunity for us. Hope Gormless Gareth can rally them to be up for it.

Gormless Gareth 😭😭 well after seeing the supposed / rumoured line up, i’m not confident. Hope to be proved wrong though. Enjoy Wembley i’m sure it’ll be a great atmosphere!
 
I’ve just realised I’m going to miss some of the England game 😭😭 I booked an appointment for 16:15 forgetting England start at 5. Oh well it’ll probably be a boring game 🤷‍♀️
 
I‘m very excited for today. Not sure who I‘d like to win more but probably England as I‘m quite disappointed in Germany.
Think it would be good for us to loose and then change a lot - players, strategy, mindset - with the new head coach ahead of the world cup.

It is a myth that Keane ended Haaland's career. Haaland played the next game for City and an injury to his other leg actually ended his career. Keane's red card was a terrible foul, but you're just past an era where those type of fouls weren't unusual. Look up any video of Souness in the 80s to see what type of football Keane grew up watching. It's not right of course but Keane held a grudge for how Haaland mocked Keane when he tore his cruciate ligament against Leeds.

Steven Gerrard and other similar types of players had the same type of horror fouls in that era. You can't isolate Keane because he was public enemy number 1.

He would be crazy to abandon the double pivot against Germany. This is a game for England to counter attack. If he took Rice or Philips out, that create space for Germany. Three at the back with two midfielders sitting looks sensible IMO.

I am not taling about what ended Alfie's career. For a srat like Keane to come out and say he has no regrets about injuring Alf like he did is just shameful and to then write in his book about how it was premeditated is disgusting. He deserves to rot, horrible, nasty insufferable scum bleep.

And I couldn't care less about Gerrard or anyone else. Better dead than red.

I see that you're being very reasonable and clear headed about this. Roy Keane is of course the only player in the history of football to foul someone out of revenge.

It also wasn't "premeditated" and Eamon Dunphy wrote that book. The book said that he saw Haaland was coming and in the moment took "his chance". There's no defence to what he did. However, he's far from the only one to ever do it.

I am pretty sure I bleed blue, white and yellow (a football in a Yorkshire rose ;) ) I couldn't care less about other players or what they did or didn't do. I care about those who grace our hallowed turf and what happens to them. That is all. Keane is a scumrat and I won't hear otherwise.
 
Looking at rankings, we should win the game but they really need to up their game. If they play like the previous 3 games then we will get thrashed by Germany again 🙄

I may miss the start of the game as I have an appointment at 4pm. I would love to come back and turn on the tv to see England winning but I think that will be wishful thinking.
 
It’s about time we changed the history books where this hoodoo fixture is concerned! As an Everton fan I want Dom (Calvert-Lewis) to score a beauty and treat us all to whipping his shirt off and flinging it around his head 😍 Husband is a villa fan so he wants to see Grealish boss the Germans about, that’s if Southgate lets him actually play 🙄 Come on England!
 
we are here, i'm irish really but my third culture children identify as english mostly, sort of. i'm excited for them.

gormless gareth will get absolutely panned with this team selection if they lose, but i'm here for england to shithouse all the way.

the awful england band are back. was so much better without their dirge droning away in the background of games.

but lovely to be back at live football, with drunken rowdy fans and that stadium dirty rat burger smell.

Think I'd rather watch it on mute than listen to The Great Escape for the duration 😩 Hope they're not right in your ear hole.
