Was beginning to regret my entirely unsupported confidence in them but they have restored that now 😂
Amazing what bringing on some big names can do. Not sure why you'd go weaker in this match when it's on their home turf, don't imagine they're resting them for Finland 🤷‍♀️

First game maybe, but this has gone as expected.
I don't think there's any "maybe" at all to that first game being a nightmare (or indeed the tournament in general).

All things being equal, they would probably have lost to Belgium but at home and without the trauma of Saturday, they would have had a decent chance of getting something. There's no way they prepared properly for the Belgium game.

Don‘t think it‘s going to be Germany 😂 Spain also disappointed me a bit ... I‘d personally say France or the Netherlands
I actually wouldn't rule out Germany yet. Yes they looked a disaster against France, but if they get one of the best third placed slots the draw isn't that bad for them. Plenty of tournament winners have been poor in the group stage.

My comment wasn't relating to what happened with Eriksen. It was relating to any predictions that would have been made pre-tournament.

They had a decent chance of getting something yesterday. I think you're doing them a disservice by suggesting otherwise.

Yeah, they were missing Eriksen but that could have happened for a more innocuous reason anyway, we won't ever know. And there was obviously the trauma of what they witnessed to their team mate and friend, but at the same time they clearly wanted it for him.

If what happened to Eriksen hadn't happened the Denmark that turned up yesterday could have been different for all sorts of reasons, but it doesn't mean it would have necessarily been for the better.

What do you all think about this? I'm in two minds..

I’m also in two minds, but mainly that it shouldn’t happen. I want to be back at Murrayfield/football grounds and would give anything to go to the final but I know the rules are in place for a reason

duck no. People (myself included) have been separated from their families because of the strict UK rules on quarantine. Seeing the G7 leaders flaunting the rules was one thing but this is just pushing it too far

I don't necessarily have a problem with it as long as it's managed properly, which seems a massive ask.

We're getting to a point where we're being told we need to live with this rather than stopping and starting all the time, and the economic ramifications of losing those games would be huge too.

I have more of a problem with the number of VIPs that would be going to it given the limited capacity.

You were replying to someone who referenced what happened with Eriksen.

I wasn't suggesting otherwise. My point was that while Belgium were favourites, Denmark still had a chance and that chance would have been far greater had they not gone through the trauma of the last few days. Their preparation for yesterday will not have been close to what it would have been otherwise.

I replied to someone who posted what they did during the match when Denmark went behind against Belgium after being ahead, there was no specific mention of Eriksen, although I thought it would be obvious that what happened to him was a nightmare (as it would be for anyone in any walk of life) without it needing to be pointed out in every further discussion regarding Denmark.

By making a point out of the fact I said "maybe" and turning it into something it wasn't you seem to be almost arguing over something that we actually agree on if you read my previous posts relating to the match in this thread 🤷‍♀️

The dramatic films before the match are cringe

I’m glad you’ve said that! I hate them! When Wales got to the semis of Euro 2016 the BBC made a toe curling one with Tom Jones singing over images of CGI dragons flying front of mountains in the night sky, because you know that’s what Wales is like.. I’m surprised they didn’t stick images of coal mines in for good measure 🙄
