He's going to have an ICD fitted, basically a defibrilator. This was interesting however, although I agree Eriksen sadly won't play again:

Eriksen's former Ajax team-mate Daley Blind, who is representing Netherlands at Euro 2020, has also been fitted with an ICD after being diagnosed with heart muscle inflammation in 2019.

Think the difference between them would probably be that Blind hasn't actually suffered a cardiac arrest so his heart hasn't gone through that trauma.

Why he's still playing I've no idea though. I get he has a passion for the game but when you're collapsing and living with the knowledge you're not 100% going into every training session or match then it's got to take its toll in other ways.

My friends 13 year old daughter died of a sudden cardiac event. She came home from school one day, went in the shower and collapsed. Her younger sister and mum were subsequently fitted with one of these devices, but both have had to have extensive therapy to deal with the mental toll, not just of losing a young family member so suddenly, but the fear that it could happen to them at any time. This was 10 years ago now but the mum and grandma are barely recognisable, the stress has changed them irrevocably.

There’s a lady local to me that had it happen to her ( then ) 8 yr old son he’s 13 now , he had a CA while out with his dad and two brothers, his dad performed CPR until the ambulance came but it took nearly an hour to get his heart started again ,he was in hospital for weeks getting rehabilitated and then had to go to Dublin to get an ICD fitted ( he’s just had his 2nd one fitted) she kept a blog going throughout the whole thing to help other parents and highlight this issue to try and get as many as pos to learn CPR , but what they went through is terrible , the boys memory is badly affected he can’t remember one minute from the next and a lot of physical and mental issues, at the time she wrote about how guilty she felt for wanting him back ,looking at how his life is and what he has to cope with ,over the years they’ve learned to adjust with a lot of help but it makes for very sad reading of what they went/ are still going through after this event.

I’m so not ready for tomorrow. I’m a scot, living in Scotland, who is weirdly an England fan. I don’t want to watch the game surrounded by loads of Scots 😂 my pals are going to rip the arse out of me 😂

I don't envy you! English here and i'm all for the 3 lions but would like our other home nations to do well.... except tomorrow :D

Honestly I don’t even know where the England fan in me came from 😂 it’s the only sport I support England in 🤦‍♀️ I’m the same, I want Scotland and all the home nations to do well apart from tomorrow. Met my partner at the gym on Saturday morning wearing my England hoody and I thought it was about to get dumped 😂 by Monday it was just an eye roll and a ‘duck off’ 🙄😂

I’ve been sent that so many times 😂😂 that and the ‘English girl named Fiona, big batty girl called Adeola’ song from TikTok 😂 tbh it doesn’t bother me, I give as good as I get 💁‍♀️

Why??? Sorry but that's bizzare 😅

I mean no doubt Scotland will get battered but I'm still looking forward to the game

I have a friend who's 1/8th Scottish (so basically she's English) and she's honestly the biggest Scotland stan ever. she sings Flower of Scotland all the bloody time when she's drunk.
I mean whatever, support who you want, it's just amusing sometimes!
