I can honestly say I’ve never touched my cervix… I wouldn’t know where to feel or what I’m meant to be touching. The thought makes me feel a bit weird 🤣🤣 don’t they go quite far up when they do a smear?!

Same here, plus I have really long nails so I wouldn’t actually be able to ‘feel’ it as such. I do notice that it’s lower at certain points in my cycle though - certain positions hurt at some points and not others.

I’d be scared of injuring myself/giving myself an infection. No matter how many times you’ve washed your hands they’re still not sterile like medical equipment is.

Yeh I’ve got really long natural nails with only a thin layer of gel so they’re quite scratchy at the ends 🥴 no ta

I’ve noticed this before but never thought to put it down to that 😂🙈 They really do teach us nothing in school

Yeh I defo just kind of feel it sitting lower before AF. Talking of teaching in school, I was having a conversation with my mum about getting pregnant recently and I was saying something about only having a limited number of days to conceive and she really didn’t know that was facts! She thought you only can’t get pregnant when you’re on!

It’s mad, I feel like we were all taught nothing at school on cycles, outside maybe biology or home economics (although my home ec teacher skipped anything body related in our textbook). I wonder if that’s still the case today?

I was telling a friend about my short luteal phases and she fully thought it was a make believe term/concept and told me to speak to a doctor before believing “woo woo” nonsense.

I had to explain it all to my bf, that’s what he thought too! I mean to be honest, so did I until I actively started researching it!

Period due in 5 days. My boobs are hurting at the sides and top. Other symptoms have gone away now. Did anyone have really sore boobs and not be pregnant? They’ve been sore for at least 5 days now.

That’s what’s happened to me this month. I was convinced. Fingers crossed it’s a positive outcome for you x

I’ve had 2 pregnancies (both ended in mc) and sore boobs in the same areas you described was my first symptom both times! I think since then I convince myself I have sore boobs but end up getting my period.. I am due in about 3 days and have really sore boobs now so will let you know what the outcome is in time 😂

Ah hopefully 🤞🏼 They feel so heavy I could chop them off 😆

Spoken to my doctor and I'm being sent for bloods on cd19 to check my hormone levels. I'm slightly terrified of the results. I'm on cd23 currently so it won't be until next month that I can get the bloods done.

Is there a reason they’ve requested CD19? If it’s progesterone to check ovulation, they’re typically done 7 days after ovulation, so CD21 on the average cycle.

Hi all, just hoping someone can share any experiences of their own. I have pcos but I did manage to have 2 children without difficulty. Fast forward 12 years I tried for a baby for almost 2 years and nothing happened so I went on the mini pill for a year to try and regulate periods and hormones. Came off it 2 months ago and no period at all. I’m scared it could be infertility due to pcos or even early menopause as it runs in my family for peri menopause to begin in mid 30s which I’m not far off being. Any advise at all would be appreciated. I know I’m lucky to have children at all but I would love to have one with my partner as he doesn’t have any of his own and I’m scared it’ll never happen.

Hey I don’t have any experience with PCOS myself but I work in primary care and seee a lot of ladies in your situation.. defo speak to your doctor as they should be able to do tests to see if there’s anything wrong and maybe give you some medication like metformin which helps ovulation. Have a look at myoinisitol as there’s a lot of evidence supporting this improving you cycle. Some ladies in previous threads have used it and suspect it helped them conceive! ❤️
