True Crime Podcasts

I really like midlands murder files.
I used to like true crime enthusiast and they remind me of each other. But TCE talked far too much at the beginning of episodes. 11 minutes one time before he actually got into the case.

I cant stand it when they talk too much, thats why i stopped listening to Redhanded. They were just chatting tit non stop and it pissed me off :ROFLMAO:

screechy podcast hosts are the worst lol.

I have to admit, I prefer British/European podcasts as a lot of the American ones IME tend to be very OTT and expressive, whereas I prefer a bit of … subtlety? Calmness? When I’m listening.

just listened to the Butterfly King and loved it!

has anyone listened to Garden of Eden/Our little Ede? It’s such a strange and very sad case.

I've just started listening to our little eadey. Very odd, why would the dad burn the phone?

What were your thoughts on it?

I haven’t listened in a while - it fell off my radar.

I think the podcast is showcasing corruption in Tasmania policing and general misogyny, as much as it’s investigating Eden’s death.

I honestly can’t believe how backward and unprofessional the policing is in Tasmania.

No offence to any Taswegians reading but the place is pretty backwards in a lot of ways.
Being gay was a crime up until 1997, it's the armpit of Australia when it comes to things like that.

I went down a Reddit hole and someone who lives in St Helens, said that the family were problematic, didn't get on with any of the locals their kids were bullies etc. but of course that has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I have a family member who is married to someone who's family are all from Tassie. They couldn't understand why she wasn't married and having kids at the ripe old age of 21!
