Topshop nostalgia #2

this is why i got so upset that Boohoo bought out Oasis back in 2020. Oasis was always my go-to and now its terrible
Same here, I’m genuinely stuck on where to buy workwear that isn’t too ‘grown up’* nowadays.

*I say this like I’m still in my 20s..
---
Me too, I still have so many beautiful items from 'real' Oasis and Warehouse. It's such a shame.
Me too, my colleague has some ‘real’ Warehouse too and I love it when I recognise a print and/or I have something in the same print but a different item.

The most frustrating thing is going to these higher price point stores like Hobbs or Mint Velvet and being willing to pay money for better quality clothing and seeing polyester on the care label!

I don't have a deep hatred for polyester and I think it has its place but why is it near impossible to avoid it if you want to and why are we being charged so much money for it?

this is why i buy most stuff of vinted now. at least if i find the older stuff it’s normally better quality

I have a love-hate relationship with Vinted. The inconsistency with sellers and uncertainty on awkward sizing puts me off buying certain items secondhand but I've also found some excellent things there.

I find it a bit annoying when people won't do the actual measurements if you ask, or send you the size guide on whatever website. There is so much variation. I ordered some trousers in my usual size which were massive recently.

More of a generic high street nostalgia item - but remember the Boots kiddy/tween self care brand? IIRC the packaging was all very cutesy, like lizzy McGuire style floral drawings etc? I remember this weird mint foot spray that made your feet tingle & “perfumes”.

They’d make such cute stocking fillers for this time of year, it’s a shame that category doesn’t exist anymore? It’d also keep younger girls out of the skincare stuff as they have something truly for them!

ETA - google was useless but TikTok search found me the name - glitter babes!!

Not quite the same but Zara has kids' perfumes that would make good stocking stuffers: https://www.zara.com/uk/en/search?searchTerm=perfume&section=KID

Who wouldn't want to smell like the hulk? 😂

Oh my - I'd forgotten entirely about this range. I had some of the nail polishes.
I also liked the Boots '17' range which was targeted at teens. It's still around.

Not sure where this fits, but I like these yearly roundups from Percival and found what they’re doing with VIP customers over influencers both interesting & a promising glimpse of the future…. 🤞
