Oh my god yes I used to love it.

What annoys me about it in the last 2/3 years of it though- why did they slash every dress on the back? I’ve lost count of the times I’m looking at a lovely Topshop dress on Vinted only to see it’s a later Topshop and it just has a massive gaping open back

driving me mad.

Haha yes. I've literally never once thought my look could be improved by having my back out.

I miss topshop so much. I was just talking to my husband about it the other day actually. Saying how I struggle getting clothes now and back in the day it was so easy. Simpler times. Friday Payday meant a night out clubbing and nipping into topshop straight from work to pick up a new top to wear on the night out never once left empty handed, always delighted. anytime I go into a clothes shop now I leave midway to a mental breakdown.

Oh my godddd, getting to this chat so very late. I remember finally going to Oxford St Topshop in 2006 (I'm not from the UK) and thinking I'd pretty much ascended to heaven. Got my first pair of skinny jeans that fit so well, two peacoats, so many liberty print things, ballet flats, red boots, I reaaally blew my budget and luckily going out for fancy meals was really not a thing yet! I apologise if this has been covered in previous threads but what was the obsession with the colour mustard??

Wow, the Hargreaves quote at the end is shockingly damning, I don’t think I’ve ever read something so savage about a company still trading!

The family won’t care, they’ve made their money, feel sorry for the 100+ employees who’ve been laid off into a shocking economy/retail climate.

£5?? You overpaid, I got mine for £3.

I have several 'vintage' (god that makes me feel old!) bits from Primark, Topshop and New Look that I still wear today. They've really held up. Wish I kept more!

PLT boldly addressing the returns issue we all know is a huge problem. ASOS did the same thing with closing accounts but remained quiet
Not sure you want to tell customers they may have concerns over your quality though

If they all actually adhered to the SAME SIZE MEASUREMENTS we wouldn't have to return so much. I've just had a pair of shoes from New Look delivered in my usual size and they are so big I can't even walk in them. I'll be banned next for sending them back.

I came to this thread late but I found some amazing pictures from about 2009-2015 of me and my friends thinking we were the tit. I was 18-24 here. I wish I had some older than that, to show off my Topshop knitwear obsession in about 2006/2007. Alas, those are lost to the Myspace Gods.

I’ve covered faces so I hope these are okay!

I keep thinking of all the great early 2010s knitwear I should have held onto. I had a great olive green cropped cardigan with gold buttons and a navy one with hook and eye fastenings that I still think about!

The £7 vest tops were the best, think you could get 2 for £12 way back when. I also liked getting Ivy Park gym bits before they shut down.

I hated my arms when I was teenage so every photo of me out in de clurbb has me wearing a long black Topshop cardi (also black tights)
