Partially agreed. On the other side not like this is engineering and you need 20 years of experience. Fresh new ideas coming from people just out of school are usually welcome in marketing. I mean, at least in what I'm doing. We are forced to promote our work even on damn social media.

It might not be engineering but a mix of youth and experience on anything never usually goes amiss

I don´t know, I cannot really access IG that much (not registered...(I don´t need another social network to be on...this, reddit and FB are enough! ) but I think I saw the last post where he trained for Loki and fell flat on his face
I hope this could change sometimes soon, with new projects (hopefully) coming up or promotion for TES, possibly some more MCU content? I think he doesn´t necessarily needs to promote himself. People who are fans just will go and find elsewhere and I suspect he has enough "friends" and circle of people so he doesn´t really need it to "get a job" (if you know what I mean). But today, when "popularity" is a measure for success, it is a bit strange and maybe wrong? (however obscure popularity of some people is - only on social media known, often people from reality shows fwho are sometimes thick as brick, but young and beautiful who post on IG every day)
He could maybe at least promote his charity work, that would be nice.
But we have been over this, I guess we can just hold our breath and hope

So the Marvel Wikis for both Tom and Zawe have been updated. Zawe's previously said "previously dated Tom" now mentions about the Betrayal Halloween dress up and doesn't mention Tom in a romantic sense at all, Tom's now says previously dated Zawe Ashton. Bizarre

Threats? I don't know....gossip, for sure! No publicity is bad publicity, that's the motto though we came to find out that bad publicity will haunt your ass for the eternity. That tit is non-biodegradable.

I know of several celebrities who have discussed having their team sort through forums and sm to weed out stalkers that could seem dangerous, or try to identify accounts who are known stalkers- Kristin Chenoweth talks about it in her memoir as well. I have to imagine that celebs like Benedict, Tom, the One Direction or BTS fandoms (those are some nutters!) have people who keep an eye on that stuff.

This is bad but not as bad as Jason Lee's first born named Pilot Inspektor!

Same! It’s part of their job in the social media age. Now some of them don’t utilize sm like Benedict, Scarlett, Adam Driver, etc - but the difference is that they seem to keep themselves relevant through projects and Tom hasn’t been doing that. Hopefully after Essex Serpent we still see a resurgence of him- press, appearances- even if he isn’t using social media he could still be around. I’d love to see him host SNL or do a fun guest spot. All the actors mentioned above have done it, he deserves it too!

I saw on a blog that someone had updated Tom’s personal wiki to include Zawe and someone went right back in and deleted it, and posted her own message to make it look like it came from wikipedia saying “No editing information based on gossip and speculation”- the antis are MAD hahaha

THIS! So much this. Wth is happening with all these fandoms overly sexualizing their celebs? It's become a bit of a game to taunt them.
How is there no personal boundary, no alarm bells going off in their heads, when they cross the line from admiring someone's work to going out of their way to harass them as in this video? The mind boggles!

So he IS in What If... Not spoil anything, he was there for like, five minutes but in a very hilarious way What he can do with his voice....
I loved how his "My brother from another mother" was quoted in there, too

It was actually a fun episode....last week was a bit boring but this was, well...fun This show is not something I would actively watch if it was not the MCU but each episode has barely 30 minutes so I don´t fall asleep while watching it.

Im excited to watch it- his voice is amazing, he should do more voice work. I didn’t like that Early Man movie but his French accent was hilarious.

What If? has been hit or miss for me. I loved the episode where TChalla was Starlord and I liked the other Loki episode- I thought the first one was super boring but I also don’t care about Agent Carter and Chris Evans didn’t actually do a voice in it…

I didn´t really like the second episode, it was a weird mix and didn´t really make much of a sense (to choose T´Challa as Starlord really was too random), third and fifth were my favourite, I think the Strange one was very intense but I am into bleak stories so I really liked it. First one was an introduction but I like Haylee Atwell a lot so I was glad to see her back. I did not expect much from this one but it surprised me. And it constantly proves the (Marvel) universe is a better place with Thor and Loki together. I really hope they will bring the characters together at some point.
Also, reading reviews for it, the cast is praised for its voice work on this one and I agree.
However, is it wrong from me to say that the animated versions of Thor and Jane had a bigger chemistry than the actual live versions? It gives me a bit of hope for the next Thor movie (When we won´t have Loki in that one...but who knows, everybody lies in Marvel )

It is not that bad. I managed to get through the incredible universe of different boards and filtered a few ones I am interested in. It seems you can have a decent discussion there.
However, some people there are a bit too....sensitive? I once said I disliked Black Panther movie (and explained the reason was just because it felt like an average origin and Killmonger was an annoying character as opposite to the comic book version) and I was labeled as a racist all of the sudden and I was like..."what? What did I say?".

This is exactly my issue with some of the boards. I don't know why but people cannot take someone's opinion without having to make it about race or cultural appropriation.
I had a very heated discussion on a board once about the usage of rue and palo santo for smoke cleansing (nothing to do with celebrities) and I was run off because I said that I didn't consider the usage of those tools for smoke cleansing as cultural appropriation and all hell broke loose.
I hate walking on eggshells with people just because their reality and cultural background is not the same as mine.

I have no idea I’ve never been to a convention despite being a Marvel and HP fan. I saw on ig a girl talking about going as Sylvie and hoping to see Tom, that’s why I asked.

I am attending two conventions in October, Comic-Con Prague and FedCon in Germany. It will probably ruin me but whatever, it´s been too long I hope covid won´t spoil it but all the measures have been taken so I hope it will be OK.
