Four hours? Why the hell is that thing so long? I sat through a (brilliant) play The Seagull for over three hours last year and it was great but by the end, I really needed to go to the bathroom, eat, drink and I felt how people were losing attention by the end. It was only the fact this particular theater company handled the play so well that I managed to stay awake that long 
I saw only one whole Tony awards when Hugh Jackman hosted the first time (2006?) and it was cool with the musical numbers but I don´t remember it being this long
As for Tom...he still might surprise but I don´t think he will attend. First, I really think he may be working on something in the UK (the fact we don´t know means nothing, especially with the bunch of MCU stuff filming there), and I think it really is too complicated given the travel restrictions (am I wrong thinking he may go to the quarantine after the return? I know we need to do it at work, even with a vaccine, we are required to at least stay out of the office for a few days because vaccine doesn´t mean you cannot spread it). And I know Tom is pretty responsible in this area. So it may really complicate things for a potential work or some other things he would need to do (I am sure he gets meetings about work)
However, I still hope he may at least give some interviews. Also, I hope the fact Jake Gyllenhaal attends doesn´t jinx it for Tom and he could still win. I like Jake but sorry, Tom is our guy and I honestly like Tom as actor more (not seen either of their plays but I can hardly be objective here )

Hey, I've been looking headlines in several major magazines that wrote about Tony awards. No one mentions Tom. Either his PR is lousy (as always) or he won't be there (his team probably assuming there are low chances to win something).

We should follow UK job market. Maybe Prosper PR will put up advertisement that they are looking for new fresh creative people to join their ranks. After all we are nice and well-educated girls with clear vision of Tom's future career.

There's still lots of rules to travel to the US from the UK and many will go via another country. You then need to have various Covid tests before coming back (and this is assuming the person travelling is double vaccinated which given Tom's age and he's based in the UK he should be).

I like Jake a lot too but as you said, we are here for TOM. I really wanted him to go and to win, but I at least wanted to see him.
I think it's so long because they have to stagger attendance possibly? It's not all going to be aired on a network some of it I think is going to be aired on the streaming platform.
They for sure have people screen forums and gossip sites for potential threats so it makes sense that they would also drop in some "tea" every now and then to gauge a reaction or just stir up interest, either personally or professionally. Of course knowing Tom's team, they may not actually be in the business of doing anything helpful or effective.
As you said- maybe the reason we haven't seen Luke is because Tom told him to f off after Hiddleswift and the Golden Globes (I can just imagine him backstage screaming YOU TOLD ME THEY'D LIKE THE DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS SPEECH!!!)
I'm kidding of course...mostly...but if I'm being real I think so much of Tom's image came from his own understanding of what the fans wanted and not from a management team, that is until Taylor. I would LOVE to know in retrospect if that was his idea or his team's, or whose team reached out to whose. We will probably never know and if Taylor released a statement about it I wouldn't believe her anyway.
I actually thought he had a shot of winning so I'll be really disappointed if he doesn't. Is it possible the celebrity appearances just refer to presenters and not nominees/winners?
I think the list is just that, a list. People who are able to attend by being Americans or staying in the US permamently, or work there right now. I wouldn´t really assume anything from it. Also, I suspect many people still consider it, work around schedules etc. It is still a few days away so the list imo is not even close to final.
In the meantime, another "people name their kids after popculture characters". Poor kids, I remember a wave of "Esmeralda" names when this certain Mexican telenovela was a hit here in the 90s Poor girls named after Daenerys when GoT started
With Loki, they can at least say (when they are grown up and can grasp the fact their parents had a crush) that he (or she) is named after the mythology God, not a comic book character Also, it is, at least, a normal name used in Northern countries.

I think the Golden Globes was not a rehearsed nor written speech. I think he just went for it and, I'm under the impression, that he is the type of guy that should write things down, edit and re-write things. Of course, I don't know him, but he does strikes me of someone that does better in writing.
Tom's public image is (or should be) handled by his PR team. That's what they are there for. To make sure he looks exactly like he should while doing public appearances. Of course, they won't be monitoring every nano second of his life but, publicly, they are the ones that should take the rails.
On the other hand, I don't think he didn't have a saying in the relationship with Swift and maybe, just maybe, it got out of hand by his on doing. Controversial, I know.
We will never know what happened there and frankly, I don't mind that either.
I've said it a million times, I think he'll win the award and that's one of the reasons I want him to be there (I know, restrictions but can you let me live in this fantasy world?) Having a Tony under his belt will be a huge thing. The Tonys are still synonym of prestige.
The other, and very important reason.... Thomas in a suit...I need that in my life, for science purposes.
This is bad but not as bad as Jason Lee's first born named Pilot Inspektor!

I honestly don´t think he is an anti-vaxxer (not going into "anti vaxxer" discussion but I find some parents really silly - not just with covid - not to vaccinate their kids against illnesses their kids could die from or get cripled for life after spending 200 hours on google...). I remember seeing him with a mask and he really does seem to take it seriously. I am vaccinated and I hope most people will get vaccinated, too *shrugs*

Btw, it was a joke. I honestly don't care what he is, nor I want him to promote things he privately believes in on social media. Just it would be nice if or his team would post something (at least to promote his ongoing projects). Those accounts look pitiful.

His SM accounts look like the Sahara desert and even all that sand sounds more appealing! I've given up on the hope that he'll ever come back but it would be nice if someone (PR) took advantage of his following and did some shameless self promoting on his behalf.

I have to wonder, a lot of these PR companies are primarily staff by people barely out of university. Now maybe some do have a mix of of staff with experience but it's not apparent. Sorry but 3 or 4 years out of university I knew naff all about life and wouldn't have been able to effectively manage the PR of a know star with 15-20 years screen experience. Is that where a lot of these companies are going wrong?

Partially agreed. On the other side not like this is engineering and you need 20 years of experience. Fresh new ideas coming from people just out of school are usually welcome in marketing. I mean, at least in what I'm doing. We are forced to promote our work even on damn social media.
It was definitely Tom so, not sure where it was. I saw a link to it on reddit so maybe some FB account or tiktok or something? I certainly saw it but, of course, cannot find it now
