Those Happy Days #4 Abandoning vehicles is our game, but obviously it’s others we’ll blame.!

My thoughts too. Both arewearing woolly hats too. It’s not hat weather (imho) here yet.
It’s going to end in tears,
I give it a week before they're back in the UK. Of course there'll be a disaster of some sort but definitely not their fault 😏
I wonder if the folks who own the van are regretting it yet?
It must be costing them a bloody fortune for all these mods and it's not going to be returned in one piece (if it's returned at all). He's going to damage it and it won't be fit to hire out/sell again.

Thats why I'm convinced they have tentacles in the company either directly or through family and friends - no rental firm would allow you to duck about with their income stream using 12 year old John on the side of the road in what looks like a council estate.

I was trolling about Edinburgh in shorts and t shirt over half term, I'll still be in shorts and t shirts in Merthyr year round. They are NOT going to make it north of Germany, hell, I reckon Belgium might be pushing it with their driving records.

Don't you worry, Worzel mansplained on Instagram that a van is so much warmer and cozier than a house. You just have to blast your heater 24/7 - a minor detail that he doesn't get hung up on. We'll see if he still thinks that's cheap after experiencing the cost of living in Scandinavia.

If it's so great why has Nana got a hacking cough most of the winter? Maybe they shouldn't have the heating on all the bloody time.
I bet the condensation is running down the walls all the time.

I thought this pod was super well insulated 🤣 standing with the door open to pose for photos isn't going to help keep it warm. But yes, the condensation of Worzel vegan farts and potentially having showers inside? 🤢
It's only cozy when you are inside with the heater on, what he's forgotten is the space is so small and claustrophobic you have to spend 90% of your time outside. Love to see how they are going to manage to get in and out of the many layers they will need for Lapland in that small space, keep their layers warm and dry (their clothes will potentially freeze if they are storing in the cab part?).

I don't understand why they can't just admit that the idea was silly from the start and that it would be best to postpone the trip to spring or summer.

They are neither active nor outdoorsy people. Nanna is a shivering mess as soon as the temperatures fall below 25°C and that's not even putting into account the constant darkness this time of year.
I've been above the Artic circle at the end of May this year and not only did we have almost 24/7 daylight, but temperatures were a mild 15°C and it allowed us to enjoy the unique and extraordinary landscape to the fullest and we were out and about till late at night and so were the locals.

But Worzel has been lecturing everyone for weeks now how he knows best, so he can't lose face now and admit he got it wrong. Because he'd rather be miserable and jeopardize his wife's health than come off his high horse.

I'm convinced her cough was due to mould, it was clear to see in early vlogs that both the static caravan they lived in before vanlife and the first Transit were full of it!

He's got as much knowledge of the Arctic as vlogger (and n once) Chris Ingham, he has taken his young children twice, in winter, with primark coats and no gloves or hats, his 3 year old daughter has permanent skin damage on her face.

Well they fucked up going to the US in the Autumn so can't have two poorly thought out Epic tit plans fail. People are just taking the piss out of their grandiose ideas now. And nobody believes they'll do what they say anyway.
They'll probably get to Lapland somehow. But I firmly believe they'll be in a cosy log cabin or something for most of it. No doubt some company will have reached out and gifted it to them. And reluctantly Worzel will accept for Nana's health.

In comments when somebody asks a question or says something - like about the tailgate - why does Worzel have to constantly be such an insufferable know it all? Instead of rudely saying 'yes of course we know about that' (and blaming trolls), he could say 'oh thanks. We didn't know that but will look into it'. As it is I think they get most info and ideas from comments tbh.
