I think ‘influencers’ have it easy now day compared to 10/15 years ago when people actually had to write articulated articles, spend time taking good pictures and curating their social media. PR was based not just on following but traction to your site.

Now it’s just a tit video with no context and as long as you have enough followers (regardless of of whether they’re bots or paid for) you get given/invited to things

Exactly this! I bet almost everyone on here who is able does something charitable each year, and not just at Christmas. I can see why 1 TT about the Dunelm tags would be useful to raise awareness but how many have we had detailing getting the tags, buying the presents, filling the bags … no need at all, mention it once move on. The need for constant and repeated validation from strangers is worrying,

Aimee do you know when I’m cold I put extra layers on like another jumper or if I’m really cold I will put the heating on! No way do I walk round my bleeping house in a scarf!! Just frigging pathetic! You will be wearing gloves next in the house! If you can’t afford the heating then I suggest you stop spending money on shite!!!
