I don’t watch TM because I cannot stomach Holly & Phil. I hardly seem to be home whenever Ruth & Eamonn are on, they are both realistic and watchable - when I have viewed on occasion.
Dermot is overkill (like Holly & Phil - everywhere), and Alison Hammond is way too loud. She talks so quickly too, I can’t be doing with that on any morning of the week.
 
They have really done one on E&R, Ruth is very down to earth and at 10am in the morning I like her gentle nature. Eamon has been a journalist, news broadcaster, presenter for years, some times people dont get his humour but I find him much more sincere and caring during interviews, he knows what he is doing, just cant see Alison taking anything seriously.
 
I love Alison - exactly what I need to wake me up in the morning. :ROFLMAO: I am kind of curious as to how she'll go from her short slot to presenting though - especially with more serious topics. It was alright having a laugh and drink with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, but not appropriate for some of the interviews they have. Also curious as to how she'll work with Dermot - they both have completely different energy so not sure how they'll bounce off one another and balance each other out?
 
I am off work until Begin of Dec. I will not be watching This Morning when Holly and Phil are on. Just don't get why ITV love them so much? I find them a switch off. I only watched them for spin to win :ROFLMAO:

I do find I can't watch Alison do some of her celeb interviews. The Harrison Ford one was good. But the others I cringe. She's trying so hard to make them laugh be funny. When she was on Big Brother she was annoying. I guess to be fair it's not easy show to do. Also reality stuff she does she doesn't come across well. I remember her on celebrity fit club 👀 I like her but in very small doses. She also came 10th on I am a celeb. Says it all really.. I prefer Josie to Alison.
I feel Eamonn and Ruth don't get the praise they deserve for the work they do on This Morning. Even when there is an award ceremony Holly and phil take all the credit for the award. What do they do? They just giggle like school kids.
 
Actually don’t care for any of them apart from e&r not so much a fan of Ruth on her own but I think together they make a good team.I don’t know why they’ve got rid ,such an odd combo of Alison and dermot.
Can’t believe Alison has been given a main presenting job ,I think she’s crap for the role .Alright for the odd segment but annoying in large doses and not very professional.
Demot is as dull as dish water ,Phil too big for his boots and holly well I can take or leave her.
I thought rylan was good for the show when he used to be on
 
Philip and holly were shocking today during the cooking segment, not sure if the producers were telling them to interrupt and ask questions but still, and Phil kept making a mockery of the fact that it took ages to make! It was sourdough bread
 
They all pretend they are such good friends on there, but I bet it is a cesspit of backbiting. I remember Eamonn saying this on Talk Radio. I also recall him saying about someone who only eats one meal a day to stay thin, heavily alluded that it was Phillip. He does look very scrawny, especially in his skinny jeans.... Phil that is, not Eamonn!!
 
Had the displeasure of meeting Dermot once, wash fishing in the camel by the old BB house. My daughter saw him & collected autographs at the time had got many there, but Dermot was so obnoxious, couldn't honestly believe it!!

So interesting to see the major backlash on ITV sacking E&R, I have this morning on as background noise when I work and I love E&R it’s like the best start to the weekend in a weird way, Eamon being a grump is just amusing to listen to.

I think there were better choices if they wanted to diversify such as Vick Hope or Aj Odudu who are trained In the field and can manage more serious topic as the show is often serious at points!

I watched the episode where her and Dermot hosted and she Edited the show... it was just so chaotic I had to turn it off, she doesn’t know what’s coming up, she doesn’t read the queue properly and screams at everything it’s just not professional.

And her stupid cooking segment where she just makes it up, doesnt follow the recipe, misses stuff out and then says read the recipe online - it’s literally a waste of time! I prefer it when she’s not on, Josie is almost as bad but I can deal with her not both!

Also, low-key glad Rochelle was not up for the running as she’s just soooo boring!

I'd be surprised if she actually said that, they are very pally with Rylan who is also a reality tv product.
 
I've lost a lot of respect for ITV for what they have done to Eamonn & Ruth. E+R are popular with viewers, the comments on Facebook prove that and they are professional broadcasters, old school. I find them genuinely funny and always enjoy the show when they are on. If they were to get rid of anybody, it should be Phil & Holly. Many people have said they don't watch the show when they are on. They're false, boring and Phillip acts as though he is the Executive Producer these days.

Dermot O'leary is OK, I think he would work well with someone like Davina. Alison Hammond is not a trained journalist, she rose to fame on a reality TV show. I find her gobby and irritating. I don't think I could take two hours of constantly trying to be funny.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I just hope that Eamonn and Ruth know how much love there is for them out here ❤❤❤. Its a shady business they are in, but I hope they eventually come out on top 😀. I wasn't going to mention Schofield again but I really hope ITV and everyone sees the creepy little sleaze for what he is and he is gone soon! What we are seeing out here is that he is in total control of things. As you said Gloria, he seems to be the Executive Producer of This Morning and even Martin Frizzell is bowing down to him at the moment! 😟. We're not that gullible ITV, don't insult our intelligence!
 
Willoughby is having a "well deserved day off" according to Hammond. She only works about four hours for four days a week for a fraction of the weeks in a year? Try being a supermarket delivery driver every day or any number of other jobs that lift a couple of tons a day, and then you can say you're having a "well deserved day off".

OMG this! I'm watching TM now and I can't stand that grey haired ballbag, he's such a sleaze and I'm SICK of seeing his face literally everywhere on TV! Seems like Alison is struggling a bit presenting today and he keeps on correcting her I can tell by her body language she's getting annoyed with him. I much prefer Eammon and Ruth to Hoe and Shrill! Also why is Holly off today did she have too much coke last night or what 😂 xx

Exactly! Winds me up! The woman has the easiest job on the planet! Each show is about 2 hours long and she gets every Friday and every school holiday off! Can't stand the bint
