Only just caught up on her stories but the fact she says, Rob and her mum are ‘tackling’ bedtime and she might have to go up, tells you all you need to know about their nighttime routine. I have an image of both kids bouncing off the walls and ceilings with granny and Rob chasing them. Maybe if Sarah was more present with her kids they’d feel more settled, rather than talking to strangers down a phone. Children pick up on the fact of whether you are listening to them or not.

Why is she sitting on the sofa letting her Mum deal with bedtime. She should be reassuring the children and settling them while she can before a baby is here. Why is is so wild anyways! Because they are both so over stimulated and get no rest time. Remember not long ago she would transfer them from car to bed when she could after they had their flask dinner the back of the car. How relaxing! Poor souls have such a chaotic life even before a new baby arrives. She will not cope when Robs deployed.

When mine were little, everyday without fail I bathed and read to each of them. When they got to school they read their books to me and I read back to them. Yes at times it was painful as I heard the same story over and over but it wasn’t about what was best for ‘me’. I realise everyone’s circumstances are different - that goes without saying. But for someone like Sarah who is at home every night there’s no excuse to try and get a routine going- even if it is after all the clubs. She’s made a massive rod for her own back.

She has and when she's on her own with a new born she's probably going to expect the other two to settle themselves to bed and it isn't going to happen.

Why are bedtimes chaotic anyway? Surely the kids are at an age when you just tell them to go to bed and sleep? Job done. The kids sound like little sh*ts in my honest opinion.
Haha noooooooooooooo

lachlan cant settle himself to sleep so sarah has to get in with him and wait until he falls asleep……! They dont seem to have any semblance of night time routine at all, for a long time she would BRUSH HIS TEETH IN THE BED…… there would be no bath or anything just chucked into bed. In the summer she puts them into jammies then lets them play out in the garden - then chucks them in bed in filthy clothes and dirty feet etc - she’s got no blackout blinds or anything so lachlans room in the summer is basically bright daylight - its all and absolute bleeping circus.

If they’d had a proper bedtime routine instilled since a young age they would be able to get ready for bed themselves with just a goodnight story and a kiss from the parent- but because they have never had a routine the parents have to chase them round the house to get them to bed, it’s so sad.
How is she going to lay with Lachlan in his bed to get him to sleep at the same time as dealing with a newborn?!

Not to mention the car journeys they do in their sleepwear. Is there anything more unhygienic then getting into bed with clothes that have been visiting the local service station.

They’ll be more tired so will act up at school and home even more. What a disaster.

Two reasons for this - one is that she likes to infantilise them in odd ways, like with their clothing and food being for those of much younger kids, and the same with bedtimes. Maybe she thinks younger kids mean more brand opportunities on instagram?

The other reason is that she likes being a martyr to all the unnecessary tasks she creates, because she uses it for content.

She simply doesn’t realise there are people watching who have jobs, more kids, real problems, less help - and still get on with things better than she does, and WE SEE HER.

Good luck with the Tesco own branded breast pads Sarah! They’re like wearing sandpaper on your nipples!!
they literally are… I tried them once and binned the rest of the box, they are so scratchy. I’d have thought she would know to get decent breast pads..
