Things that you are sick of seeing on Social Media #17

People posting their 'bedroom styling' with the tray on the bed with lit candles and cookies. Why are you even pretending you're bed normally looks like this. No one is leaving candles burning unattended on their bed and leaving out cookies to go stale. Just admit you took the picture for the gram and immediately removed it again and have a day off.

I feel quite bad for saying this... But Tally the Elf (Disney Christmas parade star) content.

The absolute hysteria last week when the cast member wasn't there for a few days was just insane, that and several Tiktokers had found his identity and posted it online. Absolute madness. Disney adults really are another level.

If I left biscuits on a plate on my bed, my dogs would eat them before I’d even got my phone out to take a photo.

Weight loss influencers. My feed is currently full of sponsored accounts where basically girlfriend has managed to lose 2-3 stone, usually post partum, and is now qualified on that basis alone to “coach” other women to fat loss.

Actually anyone on Instagram selling a “guide”. You just know it’s full of tosh that you could probably extract with a few pointed Chat GPT prompts.

Since when did losing some weight turn you into a health expert?

Mummy Juggler is the WORST for this

Anyone and I mean anyone posting about their kids Christmas presents on TikTok and insta . Group 1: The lack of Christmas presents, wah wah I feel like a tit parent. Group 2:The Haul showing off the obscene amount of stuff they’ve bought. Both groups putting it on social media.

The first group are literally begging for folks to offer to buy their kid stuff and the second group are showing off.

Both groups are super annoying. More annoying are the idiots in the comments of the first group, telling them to make Amazon wish lists so they can buy them stuff.

Has anyone else seen a real increase in New Year marketing this week before Christmas? I guess the Christmas delivery cutoffs are missed (retail) and parties over by now (events) but it’s a bit jarring, all my emails are about making New Year plans 🤭
