What exactly was the point in that super boring reel?

Any bets on average pace and difference between elapsed time and moving time for her "long" run today?

Aborted. Hypo 💙
  • Distance
    13.29 km
  • Pace
    5:25 /km
  • Time

WTF Kels, had a hypo last night but still went out at a way past "easy" pace for a supposed long run attempt. You're a terrible example of a T1 runner.

Also brand new shoes for XC...always a top plan.

To be fair it’s pretty impossible to break in spikes… and they don’t last super long. I’ve definitely worn new ones. Just deal with the odd blister, there’s nothing to them so it’s not like the cushioning or fit or whatever can be wrong for you!

The races are also very short - I’m doing one this week where the womens race is 5k. There’s only so much you can fuck your feet up in 20 mins

I'm guessing she's never run in them before though (as in any spikes, not just those specific ones) she just doesn't strike me as a XC runner. I don't know, our local winter race league isn't traditional XC so we don't wear spikes, it's trail or fell shoes and hope no one breaks anything terrain 😆 the first one isn't too bad, only 190m elevation in 8km but the next one is 367m of elevation and the same distance  Kelly would love it

Kels does a shitty job of managing her diabetes alongside running. Absolutely it's a massive challenge but she needs to properly manage her diet and keep a check on her bloods before running and probably should be thinking actually no a long run at a fast pace (because shut up Kels that's not your easy) the day after a hypo isn't a good idea at all.
