Very out of character for her not to mention 7 day countdown in her insta post about junior parkrun. Beginning of the marathon vanishing act already?

After running being number one priority over children this past summer, next Sunday the kid will want to do junior parkrun and Kelly won’t want to let her down so will scrap the marathon for family time

She ran this evening, quite a long run and her elapsed time was only a minute longer so I’m assuming that’s just normal stopping for crossing roads etc, but should this not have been an easy pace? Her average pace was 9.17 - I was told by a friend easy is like 2-3 mins slower than your goal pace and in her video she did sound out of breath!
I really feel for Harri and her other children, they just put themselves first! I didn’t run for 3 weeks because of my 5 month old not wanting to sleep, husband had a marathon so his training was prioritised, I was so tired and then we all got Covid! I’d happily not run to be with my family even though I love running!

Kels and I have similar 10K and HM PBs though my marathon PB is a 4:05. I run my easy runs at 10:30-11:00m/m pace. Actually, that’s not entirely true. I run to HR, so some days that’s actually closer to 11:30 pace. I never come back from an easy run breathing like her.

I believe a good rule for east is 2-3 minutes slower than your 5K pace. And that 2-3 slower is the fastest your easy run should be.

My easy pace is also around 10.30-11.30 pace. I’ve only just started to get used to it, but I’m fine with it! I also never out of breathe when I stop after my run, although I’m awful when doing intervals or tempos for going out too fast then dying, so I’m now working on this!
I wonder if Tits has a new goal and will be going all in and it will actually be at Amsterdam and he will just leave her behind! I always wonder how he can just pace her without training explicitly for a marathon. I’ve never done one but have London next year and if someone told me to run a marathon tomorrow I absolutely could not do it!

yeah my 5k PB is 24:32 so slower than Kels but not by loads but easy for me is more like the pace for a 35 minute 5k and I can chat happily at that pace, I’m not out of breath. I don’t obsessively look at my watch, it’s more feel but if I’m running alone it’s easier to accidentally go faster so I do think could I have a chat at this pace if I wasn’t a Billy no mates 😂

I wondered the same thing a few weeks ago, but Kels says he’s going to be carrying her fuel for her. We all know that doesn’t mean anything- he does put himself first- so we’ll see.

As for Tits, given he runs about 100 miles per week, doing a marathon shouldn’t be a problem for him. Now, I recall him saying he struggles to run it at Kelly’s pace, which I can imagine feels really weird to him.

It’s the week we’ve all been waiting for! Marathon week. Bonk of the season. Please god tell me there’s tracking at Amsterdam? I want to follow the progress of Sundays shit show from the moment she goes off too quick to the moment she starts crying at mile 18 and has to walk the rest of the way in.

There is tracking via the app 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Also, be interesting to see what colour her bib is when she posts pictures - then we know how much she lied about her predicted finish time when she entered
