A valve to drain his stomach what on earth. I've never heard of that before, is she now inventing procedures in her head.
A Nissen Fundoplacation is in my knowledge as my son has it, is the only thing that can stop severe reflux.
From what I've seen he doesn't have severe reflux.
He just has reflux.
For reflux to be severe enough for a Fundoplacation they have to be loosing weight, not gaining or even be a stable weight. Medications not working to settle the stomach. Thickener tried and it not working....

He isn't loosing weight. Infact when she remembers to feed him he's been increasing recently. It's only when she forgets to feed him or purposely starves him he looses weight.
He isn't on anti reflux medication because she decided to stop it to make life easier for herself....
Has there been any mention of her using thickener in his feeds?
We know she tried a blended diet for all of a week if that... Again this is supposed to keep food down better.

He doesn't have an unsafe swallow or any respiratory conditions (otherwise we'd definitely know about those we know everything detail about his medical history) so his vomiting isn't an urgent. I honestly think he vomits once or twice a day. And whilst that is distressing to J it isn't serious enough to be pushed further up the queue and especially in a pandemic.

What is she on about wanting to know if he has any narrowing or blockages.... Surely to christ that would mean the opposite and that would reduce the chance of vomiting?
Is she hoping by doing investagations they might find something separate to add to his list of diagnosis in the hope that will keep Kieras?

She forgets that there's a lot of SEN parents who have experience with severe reflux. With the Nissen surgery. With the usual procedure of treating it.

I also think she's trying really hard to move all his care from her local to GOSH... Are you trying to get away from increasing questions that no doubt are probably being raised by your local hospital kaytee? Sorry to have to say his but even if you move his care.... Hospitals talk.

My big issue with a campaign like this is that it seems great on the surface but it means that potentially vulnerable people are excluded from social media (closeted LGBT+ young people who would need parents consent to set up their social media, victims of domestic violence who can’t attach their legal name to an account in case their abuser tracks them, people who can’t financially afford the “right” ID, refugees, etc). I absolutely think there needs to be more done to tackle online abuse but I don’t think this is the right solution

I think the first and very easy step is to turn comments off on the daily Fail etc, especially in the gossip sections. The stuff I read on there and others is pure bullying.

She’s had several consultant opinions and had all the relevant investigations. They obviously know what the problem is so further investigation (to confirm what they already know) would be pointless and unfair to the child. If you think the results of an investigation are going to change or alter the treatment then it’s worth doing, but if it won’t change anything (in this case they’ve diagnosed reflux and the treatment offered is fundoplication and doing an endoscopy won’t change that decision) then what is the point?
An endoscopy is really unpleasant - he would be sedated, so not without risk.

So she cried with relief he wasn't severely disabled.... Yet tried her hardest to pass him off as that to gain carers.
Whilst others who do have children with severe disabilities have to put up with her constant "struggles" and insisting her son is severe when we are watching him play games for a 2-4year old.

Our children will always be in the mind of a 3-6month baby. Whilst your son is "defying odds" no kaytee he just hasn't got the same challenges and struggles as a child with severe disabilities. She needs to watch how she says things... She cried over hearing he would have a severe disability. Yet says she hates people saying when pregnant they hope for a healthy child...

I can tell you now... Those children your basically saying Thank God your son isn't like... Have more love, attention and praise than what you give to your child. Ableist cow.

Re the fundoplication, a while ago she said she thought it was child abuse because it would prevent him from vomiting and she believes his body would be trying to vomit and unable to bring it up and that’s why she didn’t want it.
I think there was a little backlash from sen mums whose children did have fundoplication because the way she put it kind of made them sound like they weren’t advocating for her kids.
Then she said it had been attempted and almost killed him.
Honestly I think she wants the endoscopy because she wants a list of things that “haven’t worked” for evidence of a need for Keiras.
Someone asked the other day how many appeals she gets and it’s a good question- she’s had so many appeals already. Someone has to put an end to this at some point?

I would have every sympathy with the campaign for ID for social media accounts if there was a corresponding campaign to stop accounts from deleting comments that are not abusive but that simply don’t fit the narrative.

Yes, abusive comments should always be able to be deleted (preferably moderated by an independent third party). But allowing people to delete negative comments makes most Instagram accounts incredibly misleading and often actively harmful by falsely portraying uniform support for problematic posts and themes. It stops abusive people from being called out for problematic behaviour and actually drives people to sites like Tattle.

I have had a bemused smile today about all the larger accounts and “influencers” jumping on KP’s petition. Stop trying to flog shiny baubles that people don’t need and accepting money to peddle the shiny baubles, especially to women that are vulnerable and want to be “liked”

Petitions like this have been around for years. It’s the go to petition for instagrammers who carefully curate their pages, delete all criticism and negative comments, and block anybody who is even slightly critical. They want to be able to out the details of critics and get their supporters to pile on to those critics.

Kaytee publishes the names of medical professionals who make decisions she doesn’t like. Can you imagine what she would be like if she got access to the personal details of people who pointed out the truth to her and her followers.
