I mean it's more or less business as usual with Anna.
Many charity shop swishings and crockery bothering - oh and a good old fashioned clutching a vibe photo.

But I had a thought about this second hand September business and I have to be honest and query if its really such a "challenge" to not buy any new clothes for a whole month.
I must be really out of the loop and unusual in that I can go several months without buying clothes at all, mainly because my budget doesn't stretch to it?
No?

Yep, cant remember the last time I bought myself clothing. Too busy clothing two ever growing small children.

Yeah I was thinking about this not long ago. I think if it’s legitimately a challenge to not buy what’s effectively treats (if you have quite a varied wardrobe and it’s all in good nick then further clothes are treat items, really) for a small smattering of weeks, that suggests at a really dysfunctional relationship with spending.

I get it, and I don’t think it’s at all unusual, but let’s be real about it at least. If without the concentrated effort you’d just be buying a shitload of things you don’t need when you can’t really afford it, you are pretty much by definition a compulsive spender.

It seems that every so often she has a rummage through backs of cupboards or the attic and finds her dads porn… why does she feel unable to just trash it? She moved into that house a few years ago and made a conscious decision then to move her dads porn in with her.

It is very odd behaviour. I cleared my dad's house a few years ago, along with my sister and I think if either of us had found porn, we'd have had a dirty old sod moment but binned it and probably laughed it off. I can't imagine trying to maintain a closeness through keeping a porn stash. I think her relationship with her parents is damaging to her

Thursday night was cheese platter in a pub with someone rapping? Or something 🤷‍♀️
Friday night she was out with a female friend
Saturday she travelled to London and we got a loos photo and Sunday morning she’s in bed with someone else’s dog.

Honestly it’s not a bad social life she has eh?

That solo parenting really hits hard doesn't it.

She's at the most parenting 50/50.

She just admitted on her stories it was a soft launch 🙄

Because Anna loves attention... and reading here is giving her attention. Even though she admits it's bad for her MH. (I don't think there is any intended malice on here, just pointing out facts... but sometimes the truth is hard to read, especially when it varies from her own internal narrative, where she is this hard done by single mum with no support... blah blah blah)

Me watching her stories thinking oh look yet another bloody soft launch…
Followed by Anna acknowledging that this is yet another bloody soft launch…

Coming up: a trip to the charity shop warehouse where she will buy lots of clothes and a 25p plate that would look nice with some home made hummus on it.
