The White Lotus

I have watched the second already, now on the first, this couple on their honeymoon seem like they have just started dating for how little they know each other :ROFLMAO:

Love Reading what everyone wants for season 3
I agree would love to see the 2 couples, Daphne and Co. Would also love a resolution to wether or not Greg got Tanya's money. Would be great if it went to Portia and she was back in the resort rich and albie in tow. Wasn't a fan of her for her actions during the series but its definitely what any young girl would be tempted to by some Jack the lad.

Re: who’s coming back, Connor Britton who played Nicole in S1 said that originally she was supposed to appear in S2 but it didn’t happen and they’re hoping to do it in the next season

Aw I like her from Friday Night Lights , she was good in this too

I binged the entire series on a long flight last week. Agree it was even better than S1. Some questions though:

- What was the deal with the cute Essex lad and all the old dudes? Was his only role in the group to distract Portia? Were there mafia connections? It was so scary when he was like “this isn’t Taormina, it’s Catania” - I thought he was going to sell her into a human trafficking ring, Taken-style. But was he a baddie or a goodie really? I’m confused.

- Am I the only one who hated Mia and Lucia?

- Am I also the only one who hated Tanya?! I love Jennifer Coolidge but I found Tanya borderline upsetting to watch, as well as being unbelievably irritating. Her brokenness was disturbing. I didn’t find her funny or endearing, more just tragic.

When she gave that therapist all the hope of helping her with a business etc then let her down was awful

1) I think his role was he would be getting a cut of Tanya’s money and obviously he was a sex worker just caught in the middle. I think he was probably meant to kill off Portia potentially and that’s why he dropped her near the airport and gave her her phone back - goodie I guess?

2) I wasn’t too keen on Lucia as a person but as characters I thought they were very well rounded and it was nice to see the “working” class come out on top as opposed to S1 when they kind of get fucked over

3) if I met Tanya in real life I’d despise her, but Jennifer plays her so well. I think she is meant to be tragic - look at her death 😂

Ahhh OK I didn’t realise he was a sex worker. That makes more sense! Now I want to know his back story.

i think it was never confirmed but if you read between the lines - Essex boy on holiday with his well-spoken “uncle” and Italian/French men plus being caught with his “uncle” and said the “uncle” pulled him out a deep hole (drugs, mental health?) the clues are all there

Agree with all of it. Didn't get the love people had for Mia and Lucia.

In terms of Tanya she is actually a tit character, who asks a dying man that was plotting your murder if your husband was having an affair. BUT she is such a great actress and brings a bit of comedic relief to the whole show so I will miss her

i hated mia and lucia too!

if tanya was played by any other actress i would dislike her, but jennifer coolidge just about kept her on a level for me. she balances that line between tragic and comedic really well (that scene on the boat where she’s creeping past the men in what she thinks is a very secretive way before breaking into a run when they can still see her? amazing, give jc another emmy 🤣👏🏻)

He is the main character I want back, great actor and I think there is a lot of ways they could go with him. He was definitely for hire and old gay guys hiring young ones for sex and companionship is pretty common. I suspect he was hired for sex and company and then got caught up in the darker stuff, and is trapped by his circumstances. They basically owned him. Now they're all dead He could just make a run for it and take up with another rich sugar daddy/mummy. I got the impression he was gay for pay rather than gay himself.

Love her as an actress but I didn't think her character was one of the stronger/more interesting ones to come back. But I trust they know what they're doing

agree, she certainly got a happy ending. Also I feel it would be hard to bring her back without her husband and also they’d have to explain what happened to her son after S1, I assume they found him or he came home once he got bored. Wouldn’t mind a small cameo of her maybe checking out of whichever White Lotus we visit next or maybe she’s on a business trip/retreat

I’m not sure how they could bring him back organically but I’d love to know more about his character. He was the one I found myself thinking about most when it ended and not just because he was so cute lol.

Connie Britton’s character didn’t especially interest me and the situation with the son being left behind was one of the few plot points I found unbelievable and silly.
