I don’t get the I-want-to-be-a-tv-star vibe from the majority of the players. I think that’s why it’s so good.

I’m sure that will all change after S1!

Oh some of them are clearly gagging to be famous - Alex and the magical twat, Amos, probably Wilf and Matt as well. And presumably Maddy and Hannah are using it for a career boost.
And I am massively side eyeing Amanda - appearing on Lorraine and all over SM? Hmmm.

Ok please ignore my sheer ignorance here but can someone explain how Amanda going from voting Theo her 100% to voting him out, was so bad? People change their minds all the time in this game. I am just wondering why that alone sealed her fate. I am fully invested in this show but I am struggling with that one.

If you look on their socials you do get a glimpse of it.

Alex and Tom definitely seeking fame but Alex does have a biggish following.

amos would like to be a TV doctor

John is into acting (pantomime fame)

Maddy also acting

Matt does film making & extreme sports- don’t think he’s seeking fame but more generating income from his hobby/ lifestyle sort of thing.

Fay does something to do with sports presenting on the radio I think.

Wilf has started being a street entertainer/ til tok sort of thing.

Claire has over 1m followers on TikTok

Hannah comedienne 🤪

I also didn’t realise that Claire is the lady that did those personalised bags that were super popular a few years back- Claireabella

the way I saw it:

amanda was the very first up in that 100 game so had all 9 to chose from. She chose Theo as her 100% faithful.

Then they did the money task and at the round table she said that someone in her team (without anyone realising or questioning it could’ve also been her at the time) had to be a traitor.

she voted Theo who less than 12 hours before was her 100% despite Theo not really doing anything to change her viewpoint.

Wilf then pointed out the next day that was suspicious and they all jumped

Re the whole who should win thing, am I right in thinking that none of the faithful could win outright because if they do get all the traitors out they split the prize between them? So only Will or Kieran (presuming he accepts the offer to be a traitor) could potentially win outright, and then one would have to do the dirty on the other and try to be the only traitor left otherwise they split the pot too?

I know the poll here is who we’d like to win which is a slightly different question but I don’t think the lovely Aaron who’s currently in the lead actually can (unless there’s another twist coming!)

I would like Aaron to win, because we’ve not been shown any evidence of him being manipulative. That’s not to say he hasn’t been though. There’s been several times I thought he’d have gone and he always manages to convince people!

I can’t remember the wording of the end of last nights episode - I wonder if Kieran knows he’s out unless he accepts the traitor offer?

im a bit conflicted on the Will thing. I don’t think he’s been as shrewd as he makes out, a lot of things have dropped into his lap. Equally I don’t want him to be hated, because it’s literally a game. He’s not intentionally double crossed anybody in real life, and it wasn’t his choice to be a traitor. For them all to have voted him the funniest, there must be more that we’ve not seen in the edit.

my mom is coming over tonight to stay for Xmas and I’m gonna have to get her up to speed because I can’t NOT watch it!

Claudia (and the producers) only picked people who really wanted to be a traitor though. Wilf was one of the few who put himself forward to be a traitor in ep1, so it was somewhat down to him although ultimately Claudia obviously had the final say.

It is a game and I think things have moved on since the Nasty Nick palaver - we definitely understand reality TV a lot better nowadays.....but I still don't like Wilf and don't want him to win!

I agree that he's had some luck and Amanda did carry him for most of the way. Even last night she was still steering people away from him. He definitely needed her far more than she needed him (pre Theogate, that is).

What I really didn't like about last night was how Wilf tried to make out that he was just testing the water, to see if he could sway the others against Amanda if he needed to, later on. That was clearly bull! He fully intended things to go down that way last night so don't pretend otherwise, trying to mug off the viewers like we're stupid! 🤬

Wilf is playing a great game, he knows that The Faithful need to find traitors to keep the game going. He played a blinder when he set up the first traitor to be discovered as he knew it was time for The Faithful to feel success. I am gutted that Amanda went, I wanted her to win.

What I wonder though is why nobody questions Meryl or Andrea? Is there an assumption because Meryl has a physical disability that she couldn't be a traitor, are they assuming that the elderly can't be a traitor? Why aren't those two ever questioned?

I think he genuinely was trying to plant a seed with the others re: Amanda. I think he almost gave himself away right before she announced she was a traitor, because obviously he knew.

That lipstick Claudia had on last night, is that what she uses to mark the "X" on the contestant photos?!

Still waiting for Hannah, comedian, to say something funny. I wonder what her stand-up is like. Shouty, I'm guessing.

Amanda really should have seen that coming with Wilf, especially after what he did to Alyssa. Given that there's so few of them left, the fact he had ignored her all day was a massive red flag.

Amanda should have known that Wilf would do to her what he did to Alyssa. He showed her who he was early on and she made a huge mistake in not getting rid of him earlier on, and then recruiting another traitor.
Wilf is definitely cunning, the decision he made about Kieran was clever. To consider the idea that the rest of the faithfuls would be highly suspicious of the remaining men was correct and while Aaron is a stronger possibility than Wilf at this stage, I think he will be gone next and that would put suspicion on Wilf again. Wilf was very quick to consider that in his decision, rather than the obvious choice of one of his mates. Hannah will be gutted when she finds out it was Wilf all along. Ha!

I think with Andrea, they are a bit dismissive of her because of her age (and I think that's partly why they never considered Amanda before either). With Meryl, I reckon it's more that she quite obviously would be unable to keep a secret for more than 5 minutes

Although saying that, didn't Kieron say last night that he was expecting to meet Andrea or Meryl when he got the note from the traitor?

He did say that and that makes me wonder how the view of people in society comes into play. Is the assumption that these two couldn't do it because of their ages and abilities? Then do individuals worry that they might be a traitor but they can't vocalise their doubts about them? - This is kind of the reason they voted for so many 'personalities' to be traitors at the start and missed the quiet ones.
To be fair it would have been brilliant if Andrea was a traitor!

If Meryls blabbermouth behaviour was an act that would be really genius. Act like you can’t keep a secret, let slip information (e.g. when she told Wilf about the shield 🤦‍♀️) and then people will think you are too much of a big mouth to ever possibly be a traitor.

I don’t believe Meryl is clever enough for that, but it would be a good way to play it if you were. She actually really gets on my nerves 🤣

Do we know the timescale for filming?

Obviously they make out that each episode takes place on consecutive days but last night Hannah said something along the lines of “I don’t want to ruin my last two weeks here”, which indicates that they are filming over a much longer period than is being made out. It’s also obviously not always midnight when they leave the castle too as it’s still light outside in many of the episodes.

I’d guessed that they maybe filmed in blocks and then took a day of here and there to remove/set up task equipment but Hannah mentioning “weeks” has really thrown me. Maybe, on top of this, every few days they don’t do any tasks/murders/banishments and just film diary room entires all day?

Have any of them mentioned this on social media?

I read on another forum (can't remember which one sorry but may have been DS) that the actual game was filmed over a month from the very start to end including what we see plus interviews etc. A poster who is an actor was sent details from recruitment agencies wanting people to "test out" a new game show during May in a castle north of Inverness and also extras wanted (eg landrover drivers, non speaking parts like in the church game etc) for the actual series which would take part in June. You had to be physically fit and able to swim and no fear of heights/enclosed spaces

As filming was during June, it doesn't really get completely dark at night that far north in Scotland, think sunset is around 10.30pm so could still be "dusk" light around midnight

Thats a good point, I have noticed the older I have become the more invisible I seem to be. I don't have a disability but I wonder if SOME people perceive physically disabled people as being lacking in the intelligence dept as well, totally wrong of course just look at Steven Hawking for one, but people grow up with strange perceptions. I was quite shocked when I watched the news last night that this Christmas is the first ever with a Santa who can do sign language for deaf children. Good grief we are way behind with these issues, sorry to digress.
