Would LOVE to know if they asked for permission to use the footage. I'm guessing since they inserted the bit about fair use, they didn't.

Oh damn. I didn't watch past the first house.

They actually used Dev's footage?!?! That is insane to me. Oh how the mighty have fallen. There's no way they asked permission. Assholes. They're the bottom of the food chain at this point.

I don't think it's right that they stand there and are recording the guide's spiel. It's a behind the scenes type tour, they shouldn't be monetizing her saying the script, whether they tipped her or not.

I agree. But the worst part is how Jenn is inserting herself off to the side behind her so she can be in the shot, too. Gross.

The guide is amazing. I would be like - get that tit out of my face.

I was just about to post the same thing!! There is absolutely no way they reached out to TEN different creators for permission. At least they left credit in the description, all the way at the bottom after their affiliate links.

Agreed 100% - Jen being RIGHT THERE the whole time also annoyed me so much, and Tim had to be RIGHT up in front to film? I know they're small tours but it still seems so inconsiderate of the other people in their group. I can't imagine spending the money on this tour and ending up having to deal with those two and their obnoxious comments while she was explaining everything.

Not even his full monogram, just PCD. She spelled out Super Enthused and Theme Park Express.

I agree, there's no way they asked permission and some on that list are kinda surprising. It must sting pretty painfully to see that list of up and comers in the vlogging world that got media invites and they didn't, and I am loving it. Oh, I forgot they didn't want the media invite, right Stans?

Oh, and the current thread title is perfect for this HHN video.

She must have sat and watched all these vlogs to know who's footage to steal. No wonder this vlog took so long to come out. Hope Dec challenges them because Jenn was really nasty to him and hounded him off Twitter (he is an ass too though)
 
trackers can't curate other channel's comments. simply asking "did the trackers ask if they could use your footage?" in the comments of their videos could be interesting.

while not illegal it certainly is bad optics for a channel with 800k subs to use footage from a channel with 40k subs without their knowledge to attract the same pool of viewers, and therefore ad revenue.
 
It will be interesting to see if any of the other vloggers make a stink about them stealing their content, but I'm not sure how much legal strength any of them could force them to remove it. They were "smart" for once and took small amounts from several other users and stated the fair use message. But I wonder how it will affect their image, if it all.

Any of these much smaller creators could argue the Trackers much larger audience could diminish the demand for the original videos. Now there might be a caveat here if enough people click through in the links in the Tracker's video to watch the originals they could prove they are helping the channels they took video clips from vs harming them.

It might be legal to do what they did, but there’s gonna be a big old vlogger war when news of this gets out. I’d be pissed if someone stole my exclusive footage.
 
Ok so they didn’t have permission to film in the houses because they didn’t have the media invite. Hope I am understanding this right.

I would be so bleeping pissed if I was one of those vloggers. So they don’t even ask? Just slap a Fair Use label on it? Have some balls and ask first you assholes.

Or just don’t go. They’re embarrassing themselves.
 
SMH, when I first wanted to go to HHN in 2018 I watched their guide. They actually helped me realize what I had been missing. I have been going every year ever since. Saw they just released theirs today just shows how the mighty have fallen. They need to just decided are they a travel blog or a daily blog. Do they want Jenn to continue editing or hire someone else. As they aren’t winning anyone over with this hour long videos.
