Those glasses are a serious issue. When we’re at a theme park or someplace of the sort, we know people are going to be taking pics. At least when people are using their phones or a camera, you can duck out of the way if needed. Glasses take that bit of agency away. Tim has shown that he’s not just taking photos of the scenery or his family. He’s going out of his way to sneakily film other people’s kids.
Do I think he has nefarious intentions? Probably not. He’s likely using the glasses and feeling very self-important and superior, like he’s flexing tech that other people don’t have. But regardless of intention, the photos and videos can (and will) absolutely be viewed in nefarious ways. I had a family member stop speaking to me for some time because I commented on a social media photo she posted publicly of her son in the bath. I said that it should not be posted, it could be received in an extremely harmful way. There was a typical “mind your own business, it’s my kid not yours” response, but other people started reporting the pic and she had to remove it.
Those glasses should be banned from properties like Disney and Universal.
