Wandering into armchair diagnostics here. But there are forms of cancer that are incurable but you can certainly go on and live another 25 years with it and die having it instead of dying from it. I don’t think he is getting palliative treatment and is going to die anytime soon. Treatment will take a toll on you though. But I think being the monarch does as well. One thing is his schedule but the other are the boxes, the weekly meetings, the knowledge you are privy too. I imagine there are a lot of things we never hear about. Pretty sure geopolitics and according strategic games let you loose a lot of sleep. Same for the current problems in the UK and how they will and can go forward.
Lots of people seem to age a lot in the first year of office. So I am unsure how much of it is cancer/treatment and how much is the job. And of course he now heads the family. Which can’t be much fun either. HMTQ did a bad job in dealing with them. I mean, he could leave the American Exiles to Wiliam and Andrew will loose a lot of importance when Wiliam becomes king. So there is that. I wonder about the Walses vision for their reign. I am pretty sure there will be a massive cut in engagements to accommodate a slimmer RF. They are pretty much on course with their European counterparts so that’s the future I guess.
