I am not from UK and I was to young to warch the telly. But I will forewer remember where I first learned about Diana and Charles wedding. From reading The secret diary of Adrian Mole. From then on, I follow the Royal family. I am still Diana’s fan, I think she did a lot of good in the global level, especialy raising awarenes of landmines and AIDS. I see that the general opinion in recent years is quite negative regarding her. There was a lot of demage control done by royal PR. It will be interesting to see, what will the future bring, when William wiill be on the throne.

It’s ridiculous. Meghan can’t come to the U.K. in case some lone attacker stabs her but America (with its vigorous gun laws & secret service which can’t even protect the prospective president) is entirely a safe place. And as for Columbia 🙄 they live in cuckoo land
 
Oh I am sure whatever they do in Columbia will be 100% safe. They will be in the respective safe areas and have probably found someone to pay the hefty bill for extreme security if they do something in a rougher part to uphold their narrative of Diana 2.0 humanitarian angels.
People still go on holiday to Columbia and it’s fine. And if you have the money you can never see anything upsetting or feel unsafe at all. It will be a breeze for them. They should be careful with their itinerary and statements though. Because people know about the problems and they need to avoid another South Africa disaster (I mean, they kind of blew it last minute). I am pretty sure they will f**k it up somehow though and I will enjoy the snark that it will provide 🤷‍♀️
 
As long as someone else pays for everything they'll show up, rent-a-royals, like the Duke and Duchess of Windsor 🤣 But nobody in the UK will pay so Meghan will stomp her foot and refuse, they're soo meeeean to Saint Meghan who just wanted to tell everyone how to exist! How DARE nobody bow down to her demands!

Make a country already impoverished dealing with drug cartel violence and issues pay for your visit, what humanitarians! Will they demand Range Rovers are flown in too like in South Africa?

Yep, looking forward to seeing them drop in to downtown Medellín. Harry could pick up some of the local produce while he's there.

I've never understood the "Meghan can't visit the UK" drama. Surely if there was someone with intent in the UK, they could just hop on a plane to the racism-free utopia of Los Angeles, pick up a gun from the local Walmart and get a taxi to Montecito.
 
Princess Rajwa of Jordan gave birth and her in law family did what looks like a mini photoshoot in the hospital with everyone holding the baby (from the Royal family) but no photos of Rajwa. Now I don’t know if it’s religious or cultural but I feel kind of uneasy that they have all these glossy and polished photos and everyone is included apart from the one human who gave the baby life? People are defending it, saying it’s much better than the BRF who force the mothers outside for a press shoot in heels shortly after birth or that maybe Rajwa didn’t want her picture taken. The latter I can understand but maybe just have a photo of the baby?

I think the first announcement came with just a picture of the besotted dad holding the baby.

A throwback photo a while back showed Rania in a hospital bed and holding baby Hussein while King Hussein visited. So perhaps Rajwa just didn't want to have her photo published. Rania had obviously had her hair and makeup done after a good sleep after the birth!

Wonder if she's in a sort of suite as some photos are on a sofa and a couple of them show a table and laptop in the background while other photos show what's obviously a hospital room.

I've seen friends' FB photos from normal families visiting with grandparents, aunties and uncles all visiting together and taking turns to hold the baby.
