Well that clearly didn't help along with what was said a drunk driver .She also chose not to wear a seatbelt.

I was 22 at the time of her death my thought was princess don't die in car crashes .
Diana could have got protection with the money Charles gave her but choose not to play the victim .
Yes, Martin Bashir had a large hand in her paranoia. She was offered protection and refused it because of her paranoia at the time. It was not a case of not playing the victim.
I also think she very young and naive at 19 and Charles always seemed middle aged in his teens. Charles loved country pursuits she liked shopping in Knightsbridge. He loved classical music while she enjoyed pop, it wasn't just the gap in age they had v little in commonStill numerically incorrect.
People did marry younger back then but a 19 year old engaged to a 32 year old still raised eyebrows.
Princesses usually don’t get in a car with a drink driver, refuse to wear a seatbelt and go courting the paparazzi. There was no need for them to leave the hotel that night and no need for the “chase”.I was 22 at the time of her death my thought was princess don't die in car crashes .

She also was a selfish witch who got the cartoons cancelled when she died. Five year old me was devastated .Who helped change the way patients with HIV and AIDS were treated, openly holding their hands when they were treated like lepers. She also brought land mines and homelessness into the public forefront when it wasn’t a fashionable political view. Like her or not, she wasn’t afraid to stick her head above the parapet and bring about a positive sea change
I wish more of us could say we made a long lasting change in society for the better
I am firmly on the side of a divorce or a split. Do I think they’ll actually do it? I don’t know. I just don’t buy the hype about them being happily married, I think it’s now a marriage of convenience. Nothing wrong with that if they are both for it. I don’t think all this is just about her medical history. But I don’t know if they’ll split. I think it’s a big mistake if they do, for the Royal family as a whole.I find myself wondering whether the deliberate release of the photoshopped picture was intentional. I find it hard to believe Kate would make this error, being an experienced photographer. She has consistently demonstrated impeccable judgment in everything she has done, even from a young age. The sudden emergence of a poorly edited, spliced photo raises questions. Could there be ulterior motives at play? Perhaps there are additional photos awaiting release, not necessarily involving Kate, and this serves as a preemptive measure to acquaint the public with the ease of manipulating images via Photoshop. By familiarising the public with the concept, any future controversial photos - such as one featuring King Charles on Epstein's Island with Andrew - could be dismissed as fabricated. Prior to this revelation, older generations, including my parents and their friends, might have been oblivious to the capabilities of Photoshop. However, this recent incident has enlightened them. Now, if confronted with another questionable photo, my Mum and her friends might casually attribute it to "one of those Photoshop things the young ones do." Just a thought to ponder.
I really don’t understand how people still talk about Charles and Diana as if they were a normal couple who met down the pub. It is painfully clear that this was effectively an arranged marriage and Diana was chosen to produce heirs as she was deemed suitable given her lineage.I also think she very young and naive at 19 and Charles always seemed middle aged in his teens. This has been my line of thinking from the beginning. And a not insignificant proportion of 20 year old women were getting married in 1981, why on Earth are people insisting on implying otherwise?
Diana knew exactly what she was getting into. She was childhood friends with Andrew. She had playdates with him at the palace. Her own sister was dating Charles. And she went after him. Who does that... your sister's ex... ughh
It was the last big arranged marriage for a heir to the throne.I am firmly on the side of a divorce or a split. Do I think they’ll actually do it? I don’t know. Also the Queen was her brother's godmother .Diana knew exactly what she was getting into. She was childhood friends with Andrew. She had playdates with him at the palace. Her own sister was dating Charles. And she went after him. Who does that... your sister's ex... ughh
A year younger then Diana .how old was Andrew at the time?
Did Diana know the driver was drunk though?Princesses usually don’t get in a car with a drink driver, refuse to wear a seatbelt and go courting the paparazzi. There was no need for them to leave the hotel that night and no need for the “chase”.
Diana was a self-publicising grifter who wanted headlines and attention.
Actually he's a year older. He was born in 1960. Diana (and me) 1961.It was the last big arranged marriage for a heir to the throne.
Also the Queen was her brother's godmother .

A year younger then Diana .
What I don’t understand is why any driver would engage in a chase like that, going through tunnels at high speed and the like. Unless they have a death wish it’s nuts. Why not pull over and wait for things to calm down. Or go slow with the hazards on. Doesn’t really matter if the paps got photos and you looked an idiot, as least you’d still be alive.Princesses usually don’t get in a car with a drink driver, refuse to wear a seatbelt and go courting the paparazzi. Or more so Dodi & Diana stay at the hotel after they seen the paps outside .What I don’t understand is why any driver would engage in a chase like that, going through tunnels at high speed and the like.
