Anyone that wants to read the interview with Megan without the paywall:

Harry and Meghan seem so detached from reality. Meghan was portrayed as someone that knows what real life is when she arrived in the RF, but the more she talks the less it seems like it. I mean in her first podcast, when she talked about the fire (smoke?) in Archie's nursery in SA, I think parent can relate to her distress to hear that her son could have been in that room. But then complaining that she and Harry had then to go another engagement is so tone-deaf. She thought that was a good way to portray how famous women like her and Serena Williams are under pressure, but guess what, average parents are also having to deal with this kind of pressure from their work. Balancing family life and career is a struggle that all women know too well. Plus, many people waited for them so I can understand why they were asked to go to their engagement.
Then, how in her interview for the Cut, she tries to present Harry and her looking for a home in Montecito like average people dreaming of finding their dream home was completely out of reality. She said they didn't have any income - but yet they managed to secure the purchase of a 15 millions dollar mansion. Yep, being Duke and Duchess of Sussex and having trust funds, do help!
"At first, they’d resisted going to visit. “We didn’t have jobs, so we just were not going to come and see this house. It wasn’t possible. It’s like when I was younger and you’re window shopping — it’s like,
I don’t want to go and look at all the things that I can’t afford. That doesn’t feel good.”
And the part where her security guard gives a backpack with food on her behalf to teach little Archie about poverty??? Just imagining the whole situation looks completely ridiculous. Is Archie learning to have a help to give to the poor nd stay away?
"At a stoplight, she reaches into the trunk and produces a brand-new black backpack and hands it to her security detail to give to an unhoused man on the corner. They are teaching Archie that some people live in big houses, some in small, and that some are in between homes. They made kits to pass out with water and peanut-butter crackers and granola bars."
They had so much potential. But they just seem to be as detached from reality than the RF and not even aware of it. Plus it's always about them - they wanted privacy but just seems like they can only offer bits about the bitterness about the RF or how charitable people they are to stay relevant. The have a huge platform and could use it much better. I don't any inspirational people talking like them and have nothing to offer than themselves.
