Being (marginally) less harsh he looks a lot like Edward VIII in that image:

Anyway, I think this is really foolish of them if true. It shows a complete disrgard for how people rightly feel.

Maybe he will just sit inside without being really visible? At least that’s what I would hope, because I can definitely see a booing crowd and some more unflattering things shouted at him. If the RF is stupid enough to think they could have him parading around even without an official role they are bigger fools than I thought. It always amazes me how they can successfully play the long game but than also not avoid some obvious problems. People might love the Queen (atm) but that’s not stopping them to hate A and it won’t stop them to make their objections known.

Him being there will overshadow the whole thing I fear.

It will have come from TQ herself like it did for the DoE memorial service. Charles and William were apparently very upset over that. I think once TQ goes, Andrew will disappear altogether.

Of all of the songs that have been written they couldn’t have found a rousing and meaningful song that isn’t associated with England and NI football fans and anti Catholic sectarianism. It’s not particularly unifying.

Ah ok I’ve not heard it be associated with anti Catholic sectarianism. You could have said that was your objection to it in your original post though
 
I'd rather 'start me up' by Rolling Stones. I love that song. Upbeat, easy to dance to, makes you feel good. Sweet Caroline is so overdone.

It is at big combat sports events in this country, at international or big football events here, and it seems to be the unofficial go to song for big events for some reason.
