Can’t beat it, but I did get VIP tickets to see some guy from New Jersey play London the other week. Twice. Plus his friend from Long Island.
Younger folks - I’m referring to Bruce Springsteen & Billy Joel
I don’t get why the Inghams don’t spend more time in their fantastic home capital city? London has such a variety of interesting sites, activities, food, even shopping.
Every damn day they are in some average pool, raving about some water slide & crap dinner - when they could be immersing themselves and their offspring in fascinating culture. Even the museums are free. I mean obviously, I’m glad they were not there when I was, but they could learn so much. Considering how often they have flown, the Science Museum would be an excellent place to learn how planes work and see the engines up close.
But no - they’d probably gravitate to the nearest Primark.
So many missed opportunities, so many wasted years.
From what I’ve seen online of Taylor Swift shows, she’s pretty much drowned out by squealing teens/pre-teens. I guess it’s not that different from when the Beatles first played stadiums & they were drowned out by the screams - but the sound systems were not so developed back then.
It was outstanding to see these two men in their 70s deliver such compelling shows. Bruce played well over 3 hours - no dancers, no miming and definitely no costume change - although he did rip his shirt open at one point
Bet Taylor won’t be doing that when she’s pushing 74
