SCAREFEST ALTON TOWERS WEEKEND DAY 1! (RAW VLOG)
The Inghams have spontaneously decided to visit Alton Towers in the van. Lots of screeching. Jace screams about his Spiderman umbrella. They looked at queue times and found that the rides they really wanted to do, Thirteen and Wickerman, are closed. It could be technical issues. Every ride has at least an hour wait. There are at least 60 coaches and 3000 children on school trips. The Inghams have two day tickets and the park is open until 9pm. Esme isn’t thrilled that the first stop is CBeebies land. Isla likes CBeebies Land because it’s fun. Esme never wants to go off alone in case they get lost or something happens. She wants to go on rides with “mummy and daddy”. Mila is asleep.
Creepstopher booked tickets for the Halloween trick or treat walkthrough at 5pm. Lazy isn’t happy that it won’t be dark at that time so he has gone to try and change it. Jace loves measuring his height and he is almost a metre tall. Isabelle is taking Jace on the first ride and the other girls tag along. Next ride is In the Night Garden. The wait time is half an hour but Lazy doesn’t think they’ll wait that long. It takes 11 minutes. Lazy wants to know what the big shapes are called. Isabelle tries to guess. Her favourite character was Makka Pakka and Lazy’s was Upsy Daisy. Lazy tells everyone they have to be quiet and Jace starts screeching. Isabelle feels emotional due to nostalgia. Screeching when Lazy is right about the big shapes being Haaboons.
A bored-sounding Creepstopher says Go Jetters is a legit ride. The ride breaks down as Creepstopher and Jace get to the front of the queue. The girls go on the Spinball ride whilst Creepstopher takes Jace on the Octonauts.
Lazy and Creepstopher have seen an opportunity to go to the bratwurst queue because it would be cheap. The girls are in an hour long queue. Lazy says he’s living the single life. She makes him go on the treetop adventure. The girls’ ride breaks down. Shot of the girls from the treetops ride. Jace is still screeching.
Creepstopher love the music. Footage of some rides. Oblivion is 40 minutes and Isla can go on it. Creepstopher is upset he cannot film on the rides. They’re getting a parent switch. Isla is terrified. Creepstopher tells us what Oblivion is. Isla worries that she’ll have a panic attack at the top of the ride. She says she loved the ride afterwards.
The girls and Creepstopher are on Oblivion. Alton Towers don’t do parent switch anymore. Lazy doesn’t expect Jace to wait another 45 minutes. They’ve come to the Dark Forest to check out Rita and Thirteen. The guy Creepstopher spoke to when they changed their ticket times said it might be technical issues. The girls want to do Rita but Lazy doesn’t because it shakes her about. It’s crazy that you could watch a whole movie whilst waiting to go on a ride - 80 minutes for Rita and 70 for Thirteen. They’re not going on either and are heading for the waltzers. The school trips are hopefully leaving at 5pm. The girls were kicked off the ride last time because they got on a carriage they weren’t allowed on as there was no sign saying they couldn’t. Jace has some Pringles. The salad bar reminds Lazy of Pizza Hut. They’re at the all you can eat buffet bar. The pizza wasn’t the best in Lazy’s opinion but it was alright. She liked the creamy pizza. It’s £16 for over 11s, £8 for under 11s and free for 3 and under.
I bet Jace is 2 today then. It’s cold today.
Creepstopher tells us how insane Wickerman looks in the dark. He can’t get a clean shot due to the rain and will film it better tomorrow. They have the Haribo Trick or Treat Family Fright Experience.
People will mistake Creepstopher for one of the actors in there. They’ll scream in fright and Lazy will assume they’re ifam. It’s supposed to stop raining anytime now. The queue times have gone down. Creepstopher needs to go on Wickerman so bad.
Lazy films the kids as they prepare to go into the Trick or Treat thing. They all have bags to collect the sweets. Lazy films inside, hiding behind Isabelle so she isn’t seen with the camera. Outside Jace is screeching and excitedly shows us his bag of sweets. It was a walkthrough with loads of doors, actors and actresses. You knock on the doors. Jace screeches that he wants to do it again but Lazy says not for that price. Some of the doors are tricks and someone jumps out. Isabelle and Esme were given sweets as well. I can still hear Jace screeching as Lazy is explaining what the experience was. It’s £12 per child and two adults can go in per child. They bought a ticket for Jace and Isla and then Lazy, Creepstopher, Esme and Isabelle got in for free. You don’t get loads of sweets - maybe 10 packs. Jace has never done Trick or Treat before. One of the ladies were squirting Isabelle with a water gun. She lay down in a grave with flowers on top of her, the lady told everyone to say goodbye to her and Jace said “bye forever” before running to the next room. The Inghams have only been on one ride today.
Wickerman is currently closed. They’re going on Nemesis soon. Isabelle doesn’t think Creepstopher is tall. Next ride is the Runaway Mine Train. Evil cackle from Creepstopher as he sits next to Jace. Lazy moans about the rain. She is soaked through to the bone. Mila has been in the pram all day and is waterproof. They’re trying to fit in a thrill ride as Lazy doesn’t think they’ll do much tomorrow. Nemesis is closing on the 6th November. Lazy doesn’t know if it’s permanent or a re-theme. It could be her last chance to ride it.
The man on the Runaway Mine train ride allowed the Inghams a third go around the ride. He stopped it, told them not to get out and sent them around again. Lazy has gone on with the kids again as there was no queue. Isabelle is sat with Creepstopher. The rain has stopped and they hope to get on Nemesis next. Lazy’s go on Nemesis will be today and Creepstopher hopes he gets a go. His first ride on Nemesis was 20 years ago. He’s not scared of it. Isabelle can see the fear in his eyes. He has grown out of wanting the feeling Nemesis gives him - “bare G-force”. It no longer appeals to him but he’ll do it to shut Isabelle up. They bet £5 on it. Isabelle says he never pays her his debts.
Shot of Nemesis. The rain is hammering but there is no queue on Nemesis. Lazy moans about being drenched when her coat is open. Lazy and Isla managed to get on Nemesis. It made Isla feel funny. It was a blast and the best. Lazy wanted to say something to end the vlog but she forgot. Tomorrow they hope to do Thirteen, Wickerman, Smiler and Rita. It’s meant to be nicer weather tomorrow. The best part of tomorrow was Jace trick or treating.
