Katy has been involved with one of prince Charles charities for a long time, has connections to the UK, has hits known across the commonwealth and children.

She was definitely the right booking. Even if I am taking the piss out of her insisting to sing the one song from her back catalogue thst she really struggles with. Her vocals have got a lot better, but she can't do firework without "assistance" 😬.

I think she totally knew that she'd be sat amongst members of the public for the coronation and still really appreciated it. Many wouldn't dare take a stance either way on something controversial.

Plus the family seem to be fans of hers, the kids were loving her performance and seemed to know the word!
 
If you could pick any artist or group to perform at the concert, who would you pick?

I'm sad there was no west end performance! I loved the musical theatre part of the jubilee concert.

That was over ten years ago, no one stays at the top forever.

Katy cut her hair short and was very reliant on Dr Luke, as silly as it sounds those two things curtailed her pop career imo.

Maybe she shouldn't have said Mariah Carey was only good as a throwback back when Katy was riding high.
 
What is sad is that some celebrities have felt the need to explain why they have attended the Coronation. Adam Hills has obviously been getting some flack. He posted this earlier.




When Jay Blades received his invite he also queried if he should attend. He's done a lot of work with King Charles, why on earth should he not go?

What some mad republicans need to get a grip of is that if you want to change a system, you stand a better chance if you work with it and effecting change from within. Not just shouting and boycotting.

I'm only p/t and can choose when I work but if I was f/t today would have been a nightmare - I was a complete piglet at the weekend and ate and drank too much which resulted in a sore stomach 😳

Anyway hope some people enjoyed it.

Katy seems like a nice person and came across as being happy and excited at the Coronation with her mum
