I don't think much of Dan because there are too many holes under the surface of what he is doing in terms of finance.

He has no structure (SCI or registered business) in which the house was purchased to be able to offset his development costs.... material/labour etc. So we have to presume that he has purchased the house as his principal maison (can't be true as his only business is still registered to his old address after two years and you're legally obliged to update these details on your declaration each year) or as a secondary maison which would make the whole idea of a redevelopment rather silly as he wouldn't be able to claim back hardly any of his expenditure.

The only way he has of declaring his earnings in France is via his gardening business which when I last looked was under an entrepreneur individuelle status and would be classed as prestation de service. You can start with a simplified social charge status under this structure but once you pass a turnover of €80,000 you are obliged by law to passe au system reél unless you create more of a business structure. A full on certified accountant compiling a full set of accounts each year. You default to 46% social charges and additional tax on top depending on how much profit you make. If you had a massive increase in earnings like Dan over the last couple of years you would definitely be changing your structure to limit your liabilities. There is no evidence of Dan doing this.

Is Dan paying 46% social charges on his earnings before investing in the chateau? because legally that is all he can do, I don't think so..... I would love to be corrected on this by the way. He would also have to pay Nick (closed his business two years ago) and Bryan after these contributions are paid, so how are they able to invoice and or be paid by Dan legally. They're not salaried as there is no business to employ them. aaaaaarrrgggh I'll stop.

None of it makes sense. When I've asked on his vlogs I get blocked which says all I need to know for the time being.
I reckon the Pethericks own it! Gwen needed to create another tax write off.

His "purchase" of it doesn't make sense either, because crispy as it was, I don't believe it is plausible that Dan had the means to buy it with his income at the time. Some people speculated he might have an arrangement with the actual owner, who I believe lived close nearby the chateau. Whichever way it is, he's made it as he's surely seeing a pretty return being an online content creator.

Honestly it’s like an alien invasion on the Star Ship Enterprise…..and he says it’s going to look cracking when painted gold. Liberace would be jealous

Did the ill Chatelaine manage to post a Patreon vlog today? I’m sure she must want to give her patrons a very detailed description of the grand salon work with info about timelines, all of the already delivered materials such as the steel beam etc.
It's a miracle. No Patreon Video means Fanny has recovered from her cold and is on the road again!
Saturday's vlog will probably be another Q&A that was really filmed a month ago.
p.s. Extraordinary Lethargy = Bone Idle Lazy Liar

Don't "kill" me because of my dreadful English, but I'm are not able to write better:
In Norway there are great, free transport if you need to go to hospital/doctors. Ambulans if you need help right away and not able to go by taxi. If you can take public transport to apointments you must do that if not your doctor say something else. If you can't take public transport because there isn't any, or you are to sick you will get taxi.
