Obviously Davey doesn't live where there are mosquitoes because it takes a lot more than moving water to control them. Waterfalls? Yeah, I don't think so. This guy is so clueless about the lack of maintenance at the Dump. Almost everything that's been planted or started has failed. Dream on Fanny and Davey!

There is no way they could ever maintain a water pump and a waterfall. It is a pain in the ass to do that just in my mother’s koi pond. You have to replace motors every couple of years, filters get screwed up and clogged up with leaves, frogs occasionally, etc. They require constant ongoing maintenance and attention.
I saw where she was filming the koi and the koi pond. If she had a koi pond, you must have a system to aerate the water at all times above freezing, either with a waterfall or water aerator pumps of some type. If the waterfall or water aeration pumps stop working, the koi will suffocate and die. You have to keep the water clean and at a certain ph level.
I can see Fanny now, laughing at koi gasping for breath at the surface of the water. She will probably FaceTime Pottie, Mummy, and Baghead to show them gasping fish and they will all laugh at their memories of the pond fish gasping for air and dying after Pottie and Baghead opened the sluice and drained the pond instead of maintaining it and Pottie grabbed fish to cook at the Dump and Stephanie went to take a nap.
Davy, if you read here, don’t do it. It will be just like the chicken massacre, just with koi. They won’t feed the koi, clean the pond, safeguard them from predators, including Ratso. Hawks, heron, foxes, etc. will try to eat the koi. Netting would have to be put over the pond to try to safeguard to fish, which Fanny will not do, because it won’t look pretty. They can’t even clean and maintain one small fountain in front of the Dump and Frankenfraudie is too cheap to even turn it on most of the time.
Koi are a commitment. They can live over 100 years and people actually will their koi to others upon their death.
