Hang on, what do you mean "got back together" did I miss something?
It refers to the story GalaxyGirl70 hinted at one page back ("Google Victoria Beckham and champagne bottle if you're brave enough.............. "), when you google that you'll get an instant hit to an old google chatroom with the story.
Basically a famous man likes weird kinky bedroom antics, including fruit, veggies and champagne bottles in the one-way-street, bottle broke, famous woman nearly bled to death but thanks to bodyguard an ambulance was called to the hotel (which the man did not want to call and said he didn't know how the woman ended up unconscious with a broken champ bottle up her aaa and major blood loss like that) and 3 pints of blood and 65 stitched in the one-way-area later at the hospital, woman was fine again (though couldn't work for a while), broke it off with the nasty wimp who'd have left her for dead. Took the a*sehole back, as he promised to quit his kink, everyone shocked and furious, incl her at-the-time colleagues.
If true of course. But boy did they seem to have set heaven, hell and earth in motion back in the 2000s to get this little story banned from the book it was originally in.
If true, I also wonder what he does with all his sidepieces.
Heard a rumour that Vic has signed in their prenup that she can't weigh more than X (except pregnancy), that was rumoured 10 or so years ago, I wonder whether true.
But if he's really this much an a*sehole, I can see him being controlling etc, that'd include her weight. Who knows.
In respect of Victoria Beckham’s fashion brand it’s not actually uncommon for a high fashion line to make a loss for a number of years before making any profit. That’s why most designer brands are bought up by large companies like LVMH etc to inject large amounts of cash. And also why a lot of them deviate into fragrance as it is a good way to get a regular income. There’s not many people who can afford couture and high fashion but plenty can spend £50 on a perfume
That's true for any business. The reason fashion houses have cosmetics lines is to make money, as anyone can afford it (at least as a treat every once in a while if not regularly). Same reason why so many celebs have their perfume lines. Those are the real money-makers (and other ad deals).
But still you have to wonder... She highers other designers, passes it off as her own, her boutique is empty of clothes and customers and she offers only sizes xxs-m. I don't see her fashion ever taking off financially and wonder whether some people aren't spot on saying it's a front for tax-write-offs. Many rich people have many companies registered and wash their money through those channels. I don't mean anything illegal, but regular stuff, you know, good old loopholes, so you pay less taxes and net more at the end of the year. (eg Ikea has tonnes of smaller companies, so all money stays "in house").
And a lot of the fashion brands close too. Remember L’Wren Scott.
I remember an anonymous book about the fashion industry about 20 years ago. It was very interesting, although internet retailing
You need a perfume deal, accessories to break even.
VB has also pitched at different levels - jeans, estee Lauder, target range but still can’t turn a project t
True, they all (brands, celebrities) take up these deals just to make money. The real money makers are ad campaigns, cosmetics, hence so many celeb perfume lines.
Vic did start her own makeup line recently, so there's that. I think there's also skincare? In any case, she's following that route now as well.
