The Apprentice #4

Just came here to say Sugar must need his meds adjusted cos putting Pie Man in the final is utterly ridiculous. 9 out of 10 losses and he hasn't seen his own business accounts in months!

I agree. But, I think he just got there by default. Paul wasn't willing to part with his whole business. Trey's idea was so disappointing and he didn't even have a product to show. So it was between Paul and Flo really for the second spot. Why didn't he pick Flo ? Maybe he saw it as too much of a risk, or he has enough recruitment businesses all ready

Was it last year that Marnie won with a gym business, he’s going to go for pies this time isn’t he? How ridiculous that Phil will likely win. I got the feeling it’s his parents who run that business and he is a nepo baby who doesn’t really get it and hasn’t bothered to learn too much about it. Maybe he is ok at making pies but he wasn’t very good with flavours on the food tasks so I don’t think he’s paid much attention to the family business and what it is, just what he can get out of it.

Yeah fair point, I suppose he's investing in the business plan not the person. Was really disappointed in Tre's business idea! I wanted him to win and if it was still a case of Sugar hiring someone to work for him he'd have won it.

I keep saying that about the show but every year I still watch it!
I know. I used to really like it as well but it time to be PTS. The cringiest thing this year imho and the competition is tough is the fake laughs from LS's staled jokes. The candidates and especially Tim and Karen were trying to outdo each other like it's the funniest thing they ever heard.

Flo was a stronger contestant and if Paul could scrap his whole business plan surely Flo could have made some adjustments to her overambitious plan.
Phil is the winner and he knew it from day one if somebody is determined enough I'm sure they'll find some strong connections between Sugar and Phil"s family. I don't believe so much effort was done just to keep him in the competition when he failed in everything even the mission he won was because Tre was moved to Phil's team and did the sales part.

Don’t these people ever watch the previous shows? Time and time again our brightest business prospects (😂) turn up for the interview process with absolutely rubbishly presented business plans. If you were serious about the process wouldn’t you put everything into your plan and have it looked over by a professional to make sure it stacked up. From the way they are always pulled apart you wonder who anyone makes it to the final.
Flo’s plan actually looked good on paper and surely she could have tweaked the figures down a bit to make it more financially viable?
Phil has to be the weakest candidate to reach the final ever, still, I think we know by now that this show isn’t about finding the next Richard Branson, it is just an entertainment show.

I've said this from the start, complete nepotism vibes from him! Seen it many places I've worked, crappy employee whose related to the manager so they get away with mistakes that no one else would!

I was listening to Richard Osman’s podcast earlier and he was saying he has lots of questions about the show (including why they are called at 4am and told they have 20 minutes to leave the house but clearly leave hours later in broad daylight) and once the series is finished he will do a bit on how it works behind the scenes and answer that very question so looking forward to that!

Anyone else cringe every time the contestants are fired and they say “thank you Baroness Brady!” 🤮
Someone in a previous series said “thank you Karen” and KB responded “it’s Baroness Brady to you” think it was intended as a lighthearted quip. but the Baroness doesn’t do light-hearted, no one found it amusing so it’s “Baroness Brady” from hereon in 😳

Always come back to this every couple of years :ROFLMAO: still just as funny

The candidates were so memorable in those earlier series, and Alan was grumpier, it made much better tv. The name Sir Alan still sounds 100 times better than Lord Sugar

There is a second one have you seen it?

Said on the earlier threads he’s getting soft in his old age. This series has been dreadful.

Paul & Rachael went to school together, it was mentioned on Your Fired! I wonder if they got on 🤔

I hadnt seen that 2nd one :ROFLMAO: he has got soft, they all used to look genuinely scared stiff of him in the boardroom
