Honestly not being smart - but what has this got to do with the 2 J's?
Nothing at all🤣🤣 someone mentioned it and then I seen the man involved postin on Twitter about it with all these mad diagrams and I hadn’t a clue of what the actual story was and got nosey when it was already mentioned🤣

Yeah I think he’s near 40 and most of the girls are between near 10-15 years his junior! It was the most bizarre thing I’ve ever heard. We were totally gobsmacked listening to it. Talking about women he tried to get with over the years, totally mental! He’s an aul cretin of a fella though
He defo looks around 40 or more!

Am I mad or was the GK Barry episode way OTT? She has a raunchy sense of humour but I felt like they treated her as it she's a prostitute by just focusing on sex, it mad me uncomfortable.

I kind of agree with you. It wasnt my favourite interview. This week's one with the contractors was grand, but nothing special.I found it a bit blokey. Correspondence this week was superb though!

Ya thought it sounded like she only rings me. God only knows what the rest of the songs will be like. Tbh I do really like that lads but they're only very average pub singers and JB weak for himself posting cover songs

JB loves music and playing in a band. As you said average pub band is the level.
My thinking is they are forcing the playing music in for the live shows in the hopes that they could do a full concert without needing another headliner with them. Which I don’t think they will ever get to. I just feel like they are a bit delusional about being musicians. Sort like when they were calling themselves stand up comedians, i remember cringing when they ask Tommy Teirnan for advice on the pod.

They’ve managed to get 2/3 catchy songs out, Sinead, creamy pints and she only rings… the rest are bad IMO.

they entertainers or a verity act imo and I think they are great but without the podcast and the mix of everything they are limited.

I'd put good money on him and Lyra having hooked up, just the responses he gave and the way he gave them on the following week's pod had my spidey senses tingling.
I listened to the Lyra episode and the flirting out of them two was crazy! I saw the speculation on here but the interview was way more flirty than I expected and it was coming from Lyra (she got pretty racy with him!) just as much as JB! He seemed shy in comparison to her energy because I bet he fancied her so much! They really bounced off each other but not sure if Lyra would go for him if it came down to it?

But it was The follow up episode where Smacks addressed all the correspondence on their possible budding romance that really made my head turn. JB’s answer was suss!!!!!

I just can’t work out if she’d go there with him? There was no mention of a bf which I did find telling, the rugby player must be gone?

They’re not singers nor stand up comedians and I cringe when they say that too. I hate to be blunt about it because they put so much into it, but they’re both weak singers especially smacks. JB though was in a band and clearly has a great love for music and different genres, isn’t a great singer with much range either. I think they just both (especially JB) want to be musicians so keep plugging it. Outside of the podcast fans, who listens to their music? At a guess I’d say it’s only fans of the pod entertaining it?

They’re fantastic on the pod and I gather they’re good at presenting on radio? but the music and calling themselves stand up comedians has to stop. Cracking a joke or telling a funny story is not the same as stand up comedy! They eluded to the same thing with Pat Short which I found extra cringe given the Noel character is a blatant rip of old D’unbelievables skits!

I totally get what you are saying but have you heard them sing live? I have quite a few times and I was actually quite impressed with Smacks singing, better than I expected. Like you said with JB he is a good musician but there is something with the tone of his voice I don't really enjoy it can be a bit harsh or rough even though he is usually in tune.

Like others have said the podcast is what they do best and they should focus most on that. Feels like they have been burning the candles at both ends since the radio show started, where do they get the energy to keep going!

No they aren’t any good on the radio either that’s why they had to bring the other presenter in. As I said before they might be ok on a local radio station
