Fingers crossed for another nasty fall.

I wondered if they did this on purpose? Better to go out first round against the favorite than some random ranked at 97

they would have preferred Nadal get to atleast the QF before getting any real competition.
Oh definitely, but the way he's playing it was pretty likely he'd be knocked out R1 by a nobody. This way at least they get one match with him against a big name.

The draw from hell for Rafa. If he plays like he has been recently he has no chance. It's possible though he's been saving himself for this and not going 100% at the other events. He certainly wasn't running down drop shots recently which he would normally have went for.

How the hell has he ended up with Zverev?

He was unseeded so he could have got any of the top seeds.

All the people praising him for offering it to other people when this is the guy who has a single square of chocolate as a celebration for winning a slam. He doesn't want to eat a crumb of it 😆

I mean, Novak can probably still win Wimbledon, but it’s weird how sudden his body seems to give in now. He‘s been lucky when it come to injuries during his career, then Covid gave him a chance to rest (ironic, given how much of an ass he revealed himself to be during that time) and he came back super strong without any real competition. And this year he’s suddenly all over the place. Playing on clay for long matches takes a huge toll, so yeah, a win at RG seems unlikely. But please, anyone but Zverev 😒

I’m kind of sad that Carlos, as predicted by many, seems to struggle with frequent injuries already. His way of playing the game is exciting to watch, but must be a risk even to someone as young as him. I hope he and his team can figure this out.

Jannik has an injury, too, right?

Anyone but Zverev 😬

I think djokovic has been very smart to limit his playing to very near to his max, but this year even with skipping so many he's reached his limit. Was playing fine yesterday and today all over the place.

The drugs not working anymore for Novak??

In all seriousness i think he's got another Wimbledon final in him and that's it. Reckon he's hanging on for his Olympic Medal though

Sometimes it happens with sports stars literally overnight. You’ll have footballers that are one of the best in the world in their position for a whole season, they’ll have the few months off after May and come back and be completely washed, it’s like they have a rest and their body remembers they’re nearly mid 30s and shouldn’t still be operating at that level of intensity.

I put a bet on Tsitipas to win it when he was playing in Monte Carlo, he just seemed to be playing better, so he’s my winner for pure sake of I have money on it😅
