I also think once you become a parent and have lives literally depending on you then it’s not “okay” to do irresponsible things. Especially those that some people would deem as “okay to do prior to kids” (drugs), whether the child is in your care or not. I’m sure an accidental overdose or prison sentence would effect the child...

It’s alright saying “it’s okay doing drugs when your kids aren’t there”. Would you say the same if he was drug driving n hit you or your family car? If he gets pulled by police in the next two weeks cocaine will show in his system.
Or when he’s been on it getting twisted and the next day he’s on a come down needing to pic H up. He’s her dad he’s meant to be setting an example for her on what a dad is and what a decent man is 🙄 people bloody forget about that, parents do have lives separate to their children but they still need to set an example and forget drugs actually kill and destroy their body’s but it’s ok because H isn’t there

Exactly this. Makes me feel sick knowing he’d have drugs in his Body

Driving whilst under the influence no- I obviously don't agree with that.

Driving 3 weeks later - couldn't care less. You are no longer negatively influenced by cocaine at that point.

So does alcohol though which for some reason is socially acceptable. I lost more people to alcohol and have seen more terrible things due to the effects of alcohol. One is legal, others are not but the reason is not down to safety of them.
I'm a nurse so trust me on that - alcohol destroys a lot more of a person's life/health and affects those around them terribly.

Both obviously are not good for the body but I don't really agree with the holier than though approach some people who will gladly get wasted on alcohol take.

I absolutely agree with this to be fair. I have been touched by alcohol addiction but not drug addiction. So as much as I personally don't agree with parents taking drugs, I do think the effects of alcohol can be way way more damaging. Most people find alcohol socially acceptable and many of those with a problem either don't recognise it as such or fail to acknowledge its an issue often because "everyone thinks its ok".
Parenting aside i probably have a much stronger dislike for alcohol than drugs, again no I don't take them, but both absolutely wreck lives, one is just more sly than the other.

As far as Charlie goes, someone said earlier about growing up around it "can" normalise it for people and I dare say thats whats happened with Charlie. I'm pretty sure I've seen it said that her dad was a full on junkie so the odd recreational sniff likely doesn't worry her so much.
As much as I can't stand the girl, I do feel very sorry for her in some ways as it doesn't look as though she has been shown a fantastic example of parenting growing up, her mum was on/off with questionable boyfriends and often worked a lot to provide for her kids so they were often left to their own devices (or that is the impression her mums Facebook gave).

I know too well the effects alcohol has. Working for the NHS most people on the weekends turn up to A&E due to drinking and the abuse I’ve received from drunks.

I never said alcohol is acceptable around children or the day after. It could effect people the day after even sometimes people may be absolutely twisted on it but may even seem sober when they aren’t.

Even most times people get caught with alcohol in there system when driving because they don’t realise it’s still in their system the next day.
