I’m not shocked really once you start renting you’re pretty much stuck renting. But it is an upgrade because I think they were in a flat and this looks like quite a nice little house

I’m surprised they’re comfortable going for a house that will probably cost them more than the flat they’re currently renting, but I don’t think they’ll rent for long, they both seem to have good jobs and seem sensible enough to save

If they’ve moved to the same area as Charlie rent there is cheap so I can’t imagine it being a big difference

Rent anywhere is astronomical tbh so it may be quite the difference. I wouldn’t pay what they’re asking for houses in that area at all.

They might want to suck up the cost difference so they can look like they are in a better position to go for custody of Harlow. You know the typical two up two down little garden to be a family home and to have more room to be appealing to a judge making a custody decision

Can’t imagine being in Brett’s position. I think him and Charlotte, do earn well and obviously it makes sense to plan to buy property, renting is dead money. That said, they’re now renting in not a particularly nice area; albeit cheaper, I do hear it’s pretty rough. I appreciate it’s nice to be nearer Harlow, close to her school and to have a garden for the summer.
And realistically for Brett as a parent with shared custody it must be hard to plan your future and where you’re going to live based on your exes rushed decisions. Charlie can’t cope with the commitment of a puppy, kitten or even a pram. It wasn’t that long ago she outright said she was leaving with Harlow for Portsmouth.

To this day I don’t think she was ever serious about going to Portsmouth. I think she was bored said it to make Brett tit himself and didn’t something happen between Charlie and Ollie just before that? I’m definitely sure something did and that’s probably why Charlie was like “I’m moving to base with you” I think it’s more fantasy than reality with Charlie and a part of her has probably accepted the show hasn’t gave her influencer status but she’s trying to prove everyone and herself wrong hence why the stuff she promotes are absolutely like she was a carer for like less than a week
