I thought the same. People are struggling as it is this year and this beg wants people to do her Christmas shopping. She’s vile.

exactly ive just gone through all mu daughters toys and im wrapping them and putting "from santa" to give to familys who are struggling. luckily im in positon i can get my daughter some new things but some people really are at the point of choosing food or gas and electric

She was putting her shoes on the wrong feet and Charlie shouted at her for being stupid and breaking them

whata cowbag. my toddler gets it wrong sometimes i just tell her "wrong feet try again" if she fails another two time i go help her. she gets upset about needing help but i just tell her it my job to teach her these things and one day she'll learn and will do it herself. maybe chods needs to actually sit and teach her child basic things. lord help harlow when she gets homework i can see charlie screaming at her for being confused

erm I’m deffo not Megan lol

Just came on here after a few days and read the comments. You guys do know there’s a lot of people from Doncaster right? Just because you know people and I’ve given some gossip doesn’t mean I’m Meth or Megan or anyone personally involved with them 😅 there’s no need for the comments about it being pathetic that an ex is getting involved with drama because I’m not an ex so you can forget that. Don’t let it cause disagreements or speculation.
🤣 didn't call you pathetic I said IF an ex got involved then it would be 🤣

Can't stand Charlie but I don't think it's fair to judge her for wanting Christmas Dinner out. I love cooking and eating a good Christmas Dinner at home but as we have had more children it's difficult and sad for me just how much of the day it takes up on what should be a special occasion. By the time I've cooked and cleaned up (even with prepping Xmas eve, which takes most of that day too) I miss most of the day with the kids. We tend to eat later so after dinner is done the day is almost over and I haven't had chance to play or spend time with them. We aren't eating at home this year and although I don't expect the Dinner to be as good as home cooked, I can't wait to have the day freed up to enjoy quality time with my kids, rather than been chained to the kitchen.

Just means that waitresses and waiters, chefs, bar staff, cleaners can’t spend Christmas with their family

That must be so sad for the kids to eat in a pack “restaurant” Christmas should be homey 😢
A family’s friends family (3 generations of people, 6 adult kids and about 11 grand children at least) had Christmas dinner out one year and the whole family said never again, it took ages the food to come. The kids got Wildly while waiting they said it just took the vibe of Christmas away but seeing how much Charlie and Ollie eat out I wouldn’t be surprised they’re eating out wonder if ether side asked them if they wanted Christmas dinner there instead

That's of course true but many people "have to" work over Xmas in many different sectors. These people generally make alternative arrangements so they get to enjoy Christmas with family one way or another. My mum often worked Xmas day when we were young as does my sister in law. We did as they do always enjoy Christmas. Most people are compensated well for that particular day and in my experience "most" people have some choice in shift availability during xmas/new year period. Very few are forced to work.

👏🏻 I genuinely think it’s awful that restaurants open Christmas Day! My friends husband is a chef and has never once spent Christmas Day with his kids. You don’t have to cook a big Christmas dinner if you’d rather spend time with your kids? Do a buffet, or an easier meal and play with them!

The people who “have to” are usually key workers such as doctors, nurses, care workers etc (I’m a care worker and will be working Christmas Day evening this year and that’s fine, because the people I support genuinely need me). Going out for a Christmas dinner is not a necessity. These people are only having to work because their bosses know they’ll be bringing in the big bucks

Yes but the many other sectors are usually those who can't just stop on Christmas day like hospitals and things like that. However, most shops shut Christmas day and I think if shops can close Christmas day then so can bars and restaurants. It's just selfish that they stay open.

Just to add to the Christmas thing- Charlie and Oliver said they went today to test it out before paying for Christmas to see if it’s any good. I find it weird they’re not having dinner with either his family or hers? If they were testing the place out for Christmas for loads of people it would be a group decision but it sounded like it would just be them

The thing is every one's circumstances are different, some people actually want to work at Christmas for various reasons. Some people, shock horror, willingly give up their time for free to help others at Christmas. I don't think it's fair to slate people as selfish whatever their choices are when no one knows the reasons for their choices.
As I said I can't stand Charlie and think she gets fair criticism for many many reasons but to slate her for not wanting to cook a Christmas dinner with a newborn and a toddler just because it's not how you would do things is ridiculous.

I guess we can agree to disagree as my opinion will not change things. But my opinion still stands. I just think that everyone can live one day without going to a carvery or restaurant.

I mean like I said in my previous post, most shops close for that one day, or at least they used to, not sure if they still do.

You don't need to make a Christmas dinner. Christmas is what you make of it. Like someone else said, just do a buffet or something more simple if you need to.
