Yeah that’s what he’s on too he has a perscription xx he’s not as bad now with bottles though he’s 18 month xx

Yes my little one has an allergy but by one was only having 1 or 2 bottles a day of prescription formula but I moved him on the oat milk as per the dieticians advice and put that in a beaker.
I just wonder if charlotte knows that they dont need formula and can use cows milk or just going with what shes told by someone else

The hot shot is not enough to kill the bacteria you need 7oz of hot water to kill the bacteria to make a 7oz bottle so the 2/3oz of hot water it gives isn’t enough

My HV and midwifes said they cant reccomend the prep machines.
However my midwife said she used one with her child. I suppose it's the advice they have to give out. We clean and check ours regularly.

Not to start an debabte on this as I mostly bf by baby anyway. I’m French aulthough lived here a long time and we don’t sterilise, just a good cleaning is all that’s recommended and we havnt havnt had any babies die. The uk is a much more commercial country. Sterilisation, not needed, teet sizes/flow rates, not needed, formulae stages, not needed. It’s all marketing to make you buy stuff. Do your research and do do what you feel comfortable with as a parent. If we make suggestions/observations and Charlotte chooses to do something different then fine, her kids.

I disagree with the teat flow massively, my little girl was falling asleep on the bottle at around 3/4 months because she was having to work to hard to get the milk out because it wasn’t coming out fast enough moved her to stage 2 teats and she didn’t fall asleep

If you look the arm holding the phone is pushing her boob up to look fuller but the other one doesn’t look like that.
I’m basically flat chested and couldn’t care less, Iv had kids so Iv said goodbye to my boobs and I’m fine with it

I didn’t no how to tbh, the girls don’t like cows milk they’re really fussy & with this virus going around I am still sterilising their bottles but hopefully once it’s all cured I will be getting rid of them

I do get that to be fair to you, you could try other milks like oat milk, almond milk ect if they are fussy or sometimes people slowly introduce cows milk by doing say 5oz formula and 1 oz cows milk then increase the cows milk and decrease the formula, if that makes sense

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates cow’s milk I’ve always drank soya or almond milk... I hate the thought of cow’s milk aswell like why are we drinking the breast milk of another species of animals??? Who thought of that??? (Just my personal opinion I don’t care if anyone drinks cows milk.. you do you!)
Give your kids what you wanna give them or whatever you HV has advised is best for them

to be honest I like that people refer to there own kids, the show is about bringing kids up after all, someone asked a question over bottles so they got a response, just cause someone refers to there kids it don’t mean we for the 5th time have to be referred to netmums, it’s actually boring being told it’s not net mums fair enough it ain’t but it’s discussing other people’s parenting.

i agree it’s nice to talk about babies and experiences but this threadfor the show and the characters surely? It gets very tedious with the back and forward of people agreeing and disagreeing on something which I don’t think is relevant to the show?

With my little girl we done 5oz formula n 1oz cows milk and then 4 oz formula 2oz cows milk etc till he was having full fat cows milk and didn’t have a clue!

Well done for having the balls thrown yourself to us. I'm not a mother and don't know a awful lot about milk but there's plant based milks. I think unsweetened full fat soya is the best option for kids.
