If we are going to sit here handing out parenting advice like experts, can we at least make sure we have a clue what we are talking about or we end up all looking like idiots.
Bottles need sterilised for as long as formula is used as the bacteria within can be particularly harmful, no matter how old the baby. Its not about 'germs' and building up a healthy immune system, its specific bacteria that can make you very ill.
Perfect prep machines are not recommended by any HCP, only by the company who make and produce them and their only concern is money!

No it’s people who don’t clean them properly they only grow mould because people aren’t doing proper cleans on them. Me and plenty of others have had no issues using the prep machine and my health visitor doesn’t have a issue with it either and said it’s misinformation that’s been been spread and people only doing a clean cycle every time instead of every six months at least take it apart and doing a proper clean. Which i have always done. And don’t say about the hot shot cause that’s splashed on to me and burnt me quite a few time’s so if anyone’s is hot they need to contact the company and they send you a new one

OK don't shoot me for not taking your anecdotal evidence as fact. Its NOT misinformation at all. I work in infant feeding as I have mentioned previously, they can not be recommended by health professionals, there are various studies that have shown different reasons why they don't safely prepare the formula as per guidelines.

Now if individuals choose to go against all professional recommendations and use these anyway that is absolutely their own choice but please don't try to make out like they are optimal, recommended or even safe when all literature indicates otherwise.

Word of advice charlotte, get rid of the Walkers the girls are using this morning, they are only learning to lean forward and push them, therefore arent learning to balance properly. You will find they will become more confident walking around furniture and start letting go ect and will take off walking in their own time. they will start to rely on walkers and become lazy "what's the point in walking when I can push this around" I never used anything for my two and my 1st was walking by 1 and my 7 month old is walking around furniture.

I thought this, I’m no expert but isn’t it also better to allow them to move around barefoot? I never see them barefoot... they are always in socks or footsies. Especially on the laminate floor they have no hope of standing on their own with socks on because it must be so incredibly slippery?

She wants all the attention! She is a complete fud.

WTF I knew she was a skank as I seen a few things online but I have just seen her twitter, surely to duck that is not her in the videos, that's actually disgusting!! Compete and utter woman.

I had to unfollow her on insta. I used to think she was really nice but her videos are just way toooooo much. She’s a knock off porn star

Not to start an debabte on this as I mostly bf by baby anyway. I’m French aulthough lived here a long time and we don’t sterilise, just a good cleaning is all that’s recommended and we havnt havnt had any babies die. The uk is a much more commercial country. Sterilisation, not needed, teet sizes/flow rates, not needed, formulae stages, not needed. It’s all marketing to make you buy stuff. Do your research and do do what you feel comfortable with as a parent. If we make suggestions/observations and Charlotte chooses to do something different then fine, her kids.

Yes deffo, I also leave my little one in just a vest now we are always at home, means when she is trying to crawl she isnt slipping on the laminate floor.
Dont mean to turn this into a mumsnet group just trying to give her a little advice 🙈

I watched an episode today where Laura gives birth and Morgan is pushing to feed the baby first, hold the baby first etc. She seems like a horrible person. Can’t stand her however I did series link the program 😂

Oddly though, when they’re on lives, Morgan comes across a lot kinder. Laura often acts like an arrogant spoilt witch. Like a diva. And she called some of her fans horrible names on a live too.

As a midwife in the UK, the advice we give women is to not use any prep machines as there are hundreds of research papers highlighting the dangers, and most definitely sterilise bottles regardless of age. It’s the formula that contains bacteria that needs killing, it’s nothing to do with the age of the child. Obviously very country has different guidelines and gives different advice, but for the UK Charlotte is following advice she would have been given x

Yeah that’s what he’s on too he has a perscription xx he’s not as bad now with bottles though he’s 18 month xx

Think you mean lactose? Or other ingredients cows milk is hit and miss even at the age of one they could grow out of it. That’s what my doctor told me about my baby girl she is months where she was fine on it then at one point for a week or two would be sick a lot and even projectile vomit and they said they won’t test her for cows milk allergy till she’s one as she could grow out of it

I wasnt having a dig at anyone who's babies have allergies. I cant even imagine how hard it is. Know my friends have had a lot of trouble getting them diagnosed and getting the correct formulas.

Just dont under stand why Charlotte babies are on stay three formula. Surely it would be easier and cheaper to get them on cows milk 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t take it as a dig, don’t worry, I would off thought if they aren’t intolerant then they should be on to cows milk now as it has more nutrients then the formula but I suppose everyone parents different, my Hv was saying it can have cereal in the next stages and it’s bad for them and can cause tummy upset xx
