Just wanted to comment on Ellie, having watched the whole series I suspect that she has BPD. I had a couple of friends with it in the past and when they won’t take accountability or get treatment it is brutal. I actually had to end the friendships.
Ellie reminds me of it a lot. Obviously I can’t make a diagnosis, but, her being quick to anger, difficulty in relationships, the cheating etc it all seems to come together. Especially when you factor in that it generally results from a traumatic childhood.
Have your mates got a formal diagnosis though? I know a fair few people that say they have it but haven’t actually been diagnosed with it. They’ll say they know one person who’s dr diagnosed them with it and then say “I’m so like her, I react like her” but in reality they’re just saying it to go round saying they have it.
I just really think it’s Ellie being influenced by her environment. Her mates seem to be the same especially the coat friend being controlling over if her boyfriend liked a picture of a girl in a coat.

Yeah they have been admitted to the psych wards etc for it. They also have one of those BPD ‘behavioural contract’ things that psych wards tend to give out to repeat patients who haven’t complied previously.
You could be right when saying about her mates and her environment. It just seems very typical BPD behaviour but obviously I’m not an expert

Just thought I asked, it just seemed to be the in thing at the time when those girls I know started self diagnosing once “one friend got diagnosed formally” I don’t think she did but they kept saying that’s why they go off on one all the time but strangely enough when they stopped hanging out they never mentioned BPD again and was really chilled.
It does seem to be the thing though to behave like that to your partner lately when it comes to people who sit on their backsides on uc

It's one of them diagnoses that are given too when individuals don't fit into other diagnosis if that makes sense. I get what you mean though, I think a lot of people see behaviour and say oh they have 'personality disorder' them. In no way dismissing it I've looked after people were it literally ruins their whole lives but others use it as a way to dismiss their crappy behaviour without a proper diagnosis or actually understanding the disorder

I completely get you it’s like with OCD, people will say they have it because they like cleaning a lot and will self diagnose themselves with it when they actually have no clue what it actually is and how it actually effects people with it day by day. It’s just one of my bug burners with mental health because you can’t physically see it people can play on it 🤷🏼‍♀️

100% they'd soon change their tune if they had to go through what others do with these mental illnesses.
With Ellie I don't think she has BPD, I was thinking maybe her childhood causes her to push people away but then the picture of her and Luke last night from when they were in school made me think surley she can't have always been like this or he wouldn't of stayed around long. She's a hard one to read

Yeh wondered with Chloe whether the friend staying whilw Mum was in Ibiza was actually a SS condition ie Chloe cannot lool after the baby overnight alone

Ill bet her mother has shared parental responsibility as a condition too

Who was the sperm donor, online? Shame there is no normal paternal family to take the poor kid out being trapped in those 4 walls. She should be at playgroups, library, playgrounds, cafes, shopping centres. Seeing ducks. Etc. Not rolling on couch 24/7

Sometimes he could effect you later on in life. I don’t know I think it’s more environment and the people she has around rather than her mental illness or her trauma.
im going by her friends she has around, I’m a big beliver they have a big influence on the person you are and I think they are enabling her to behave like this, social media is really big in this #staytoxic culture. I’m thinking also she comes from a counsel estate or with her being universal credit person they are likely like that too because they’re angry with the world (just what I’ve noticed growing up on one myself)
We don’t know what happened when she was younger but I would say a majority is the environment and her as a general person.

Her friend the way she shouted bin him just instantly give me the ick, reminded me of my old next door neighbour, one of them who's like hiyyyyyya love with thick scouse accent that's put on 😂(I'm scouse but I mean the cringey lot)
You're probably right I grew up on one and I'm so glad I didn't turn out like some of them I was friends with you know the type😂 all comes down to the up bringing and she's admitted herself she didn't have the best. She's no drive to even get a job or better herself we seen that yesterday when talking about wanting another baby, before sorting the actual relationship out first.
UC start pressuring you to find work once the child is 3, and Tommy's not far off that

Nah don’t tell me the ones that full on drag the k, sounding like there’s something in their throat, they propa wreck my head I can’t stand them.
just glad he’s not with her and I hope whoever he’s with if he is with someone treats him better than Ellie but I can imagine her using Tommy as a weapon and being a nightmare to coparent

I get the impression there’s SS involvement. She’s not able to meet EH needs by herself.

I’m intrigued if the baby daddy even knows if she exists!

I think this but I think she would use the “I have social workers involved because I was in care” when that isn’t true. I’m dying to know if she declared the being in care previously to the doctors when she had her first appointment

her mam said social services help chloe but didn’t elaborate, duno what thats supposed to mean cause they aren’t baby sitters.

i think the same about BD, i think she’d love to have content about a dead beat🤔

@stargirl23 I watched a documentary about kids under SS, one girl was pregnant and apparently it is common practice that she had to get assessed after birth purely because she was more at risk of harming a child due to her childhood. Is that a bend of the truth or could that be why chloe has them involved? That girl was under foster care until she was 16 or 18 (can’t remember) i’ve seen girls on Facebook say similar things

It’s common practice for doctors to phone social services to check but just because she’s been in care doesn’t mean she automatically gets social services involved that’s a complete myth it’s just it’s easier to use that as an excuse for them to be involved instead of admitting the actual truth why they are involved

So we’d only do checks if social were still involved. Just because you’re a care child or your parents had social services involved because of you it doesn’t mean SS will be involved. So my niece got pregnant at 16, she was took off my sister and placed with temporary foster care, then with my Nan then her dad. Because social was signed off and no involvement since she was 10 she didn’t have anyone involved when she was pregnant/had her baby. If pregnant under the age of 16 though then it would be a safeguarding referral to SS who would do checks and see if their involvement was necessary or not
