Yeah but how long is it Maggie told her she’s not allowed to introduce them to M. I can’t remember how long she said. Something daft though😂😂
 
To be fair everybody's saying about her boyfriends not being involved in her "real life" but her real life is mostly being a mum and it's a good thing she's not introducing them and treating them like a stepdad after a couple months (from what we see). 🤷 The world doeesnt need another Dylan...his/their kids have had more step parents than hot dinners. 🫠
 
So after reading through the last few pages about Mia/Marliya/Manley holidays etc.
Something occurred to me regarding the comments about Manley not letting Mia film when she had a boyfriend. He's always been judged quite harshly for this, but wasn't the boyfriend he didn't want MARLIYA to film with the one who was domestically abusive to Mia? Honestly we only ever see or hear half a story and I know Manley is a massive knobhead a lot of the time. But maybe just maybe there was talk around the town or Manley knew something and didn't want his daughter forever on a show which featured that man. Maybe he made a good judgement call for his daughter and it wasn't actually about Mia.
Like I say I don't know but it did get me thinking, hope my ramblings make sense to someone.

No I’m sure that wasn’t the case as I remember Mia saying Marliya had never met the abuser? So she wouldn’t have been filming with him anyway

Sorry I maybe should have clarified more. I didn't mean directly filming with him like in the same scenes. (I did later say appearing on the same show). Mia does film some segments without Marliya present. She has filmed nights out etc before. My bad for not been clearer in what u was trying to say. I do still wonder if Manley had some kind of inkling.

He was just being petty cos he stopped filming for a few years even after they had broken up and Mia had other bfs in this time. Just abused the only control he had left over Mia

Yeah same here, it’s that and the amount she goes through. Even if M doesn’t meet them, that’s who she’s looking up to as a role model for relationships. But he reacts in the wrong ways, he’s immature af and a nightmare coparent
 
I think several things can be true at once:
- Mia goes away a lot without Marliya. While it’s true, she might as well make the most of her time without her, it wouldn’t hurt to do some more fun family oriented weekends/half terms with her when she does have her.
- While Mia shouldn’t include her bf straight away as it’ll be detrimental to Marliya, having a more realistic basis to their relationship would likely make it last longer. Stay at each other’s houses more, mix with each others friends. Real life isn’t exactly hotels every weekend, they need to figure out what it’s actually like to be in each others lives on a normal basis.
- Manley is difficult and controlling and hates not knowing what Mia is doing so v likely stopped filming not because of safeguarding but because he didn’t approve.
- Manley could have also had a bad feeling about that boyfriend
- Everyone who ain’t a kid in this situation inc Erin are massively flawed
 
I have never watched the documentary Mia did about domestic violence so I was reading about the situation. I noticed the way she describes the start of the relationship seems like every relationship she has

I think Manley knows what all mias boyfriends are like but I don’t think that’s the reason he’s bothered about marliya meeting them, I think it’s a control thing because he still has feelings for Mia. He’s difficult in every way possible when she gets a new man, probably just to try stir things up for mia. I think if he had to explain why he didn’t want Marilya to be around mias boyfriends he wouldn’t have any valid points to say or else he’d call off the tit with him and Erin for good if he did as that’s just as bad as Mia getting loads of boyfriends. They both need a massive wake up call and someone with a brain to sit down and talk to them about their life choices.
