Tea and chat

Often when posting regularly in threads we Tattlers build friendships with each other and inevitably go off at tangents and stray way off topic, especially in long-running multiple page threads.
Sometimes the subject of a thread drives us mad and we need to take a break from discussing that topic but still want to chat with the people posting in it.
I'm hoping this new thread can be a place for such refugees to come and gossip, natter and rant.

Worth a try.......

We have the tea and sympathy for support, advice and shoulder to cry on situations.
This can hopefully be less serious.

I was just looking at Twitter and see that Richard Madeley has replaced Piers Morgan some days on Good Morning Britain and is upsetting a lot of people with his opinions.
I also see Eamonn Holmes has accused ITV of being sly hypocrites regarding their 'easing out' him and Ruth. He's also said Schofield is passive aggressive.

Eamonn is now doing a breakfast show on GB news channel and the ratings have increased since he took over.
Now THATS the kind of tea that makes the morning less boring.

I've browsed the threads for places to go in and chat but I don't know who Mrs Hinch is or anything about her, so I have wandered aimlessly about sometimes looking for a chat to join in.

It's lovely to have a chat thread where you already "know" most of the posters.

I do pop into the Alice/Ioan threads to lurk but it's even more exhausting in there than our Harkles thread.

Wheelie bin only moved slightly in the night. Binmen just emptied it as I watched through the window.
I have brought it back to safety.
Now I can relax!

Still waiting for our binmen, but the wheelie remained upright overnight, thankfully.

Good job today's the "regular" bin and not the recycling boxes, or they and their contents would be in the next street by now.

Where I live, Eunice was more like a gentle breeze on Friday compared to Franklin yesterday and overnight.

Covid lockdowns really emphasised loneliness didn't they?

I am quite relieved to see some of the older presenters popping up on GB News like Anne Diamond, Angela Rippon etc they have a really good mix of ages and views IMO
Who would you like to see brought back onto the TV ? I would like to see Ricky Gervais have a slot where he can roast lots of the current UK zelebs oh and Johnny Depp wouldn’t go amiss either -

Glass bought - it's an aluminium greenhouse so I have clips and a step ladder and when the winds drop a neighbour willing to hold the bottom of the ladder for me. Won't be going higher than 3 steps up

Got some spare panes too because that's twice over a weekend the glass has broken and I have to wait till Monday.

Glazier said they've had non stop people for greenhouse glass today.

I've seen the trailer for last series of killing eve - it starts next Monday can't wait but I hope they do end it well.

Could you tell me how it is that Mrs Hinch is always using bicarb and stuff and messing around in her toilet bowl? Is she a sort of toilet influencer and where does she find the time? She was at it in a washing machine yesterday again with bicarb.
I didn't dare ask this on the Minge thread as OT but can come out here.

I binge watched Killing Eve a few weeks ago, a friend couldn't believe I hadn't seen it - she was right, bloody brilliant. Don't know how I had missed it on live TV! Can't wait for new series!

The girl playing Villanelle is amazing.
I watched something this weekend on Netflix called 'Inventing Anna.' About a girl who may or may not be Russian and who may or may not be a con-woman.
The actress playing her was ok but I kept wishing the character had been played by the Villanelle actress.

I liked the lady playing Eve, in Killing Eve too.
The script was a bit daft sometimes but the two leading ladies totally hold your attention.

That's what happened to me about 4 months ago when a friend introduced me to it.

Easy Fred! You're the only living snail we've got so stop taking risks with yourself. If your neighbour lets you down I'll come and hold the ladder steady for you, and will cling onto your legs at no extra charge.

Thanks for this thread, I don't think there is anything more I can say about the Harkles and don't want to repeat myself, but I love logging on to see the latest goss but it appears that others are feeling the same and I feel a bit sad the threads aren't as busy as they once were so this will be a great way to keep in touch! I also spend time on the memes thread which always makes me laugh and the M&S food threads which make me spend far too much money and are keeping me fat!

Oh she's just bought a 1.5 mil farm....well she calls it a farm it's 1.7 acres scamming, I mean cleaning your toilet pays

I've got some Lindor chocolate to keep me fat!

Put loads of weight on since lockdown began in 2020.
Finding it very hard to find any motivation to get it off again. Been looking at old photos and they have depressed me rather than motivated me.

I just avoid mirrors.

Maybe when the weather warms up and covid restrictions end I might feel different.

The end of covid restrictions somehow doesn't seem real, its hard to believe normality is almost back and yet its also hard to believe its been 2 years! I have only been back in the office and seen my colleagues once in all that time!
